Mid-Week Mailer
Hey Hey
I had one of those funny old up and down…topsy turvey weekends last weekend … kinda like a goodnews – badnews – goodnews – badnews – goodnews sort of situation. On Saturday at Soccer a mental lady on the sideline packed a mental at me while I was reffing … she was mad and was dropping the F-bomb like it was hundreds and thousands on Fairy Bread! … and that kinda stuck with me all day, and then we went to the Strongman Show on Saturday Night and it was wery cool and I was sitting with some guy called Lance and at the end of the very fun show Lance had a pray for me and asked God to look after me and that was nice. Then on Sunday I was still all excited from the Strongman Show and I played guitar at church but … it was a bit like Monique was there … sounded a bit dumb … then I went to Lunch with a bunch of really nice people and I was feeling really better soon. I think that the Big Guy had things in the Big Hand … cos there is tons in the Biblebook about how much God cares for you … nice indeed!
Anyways after last Week’s totally unexpectedly utterly enjoyably Strongman Show with Mark Woods…here is what’s up for this weekend :
May 12 STD at 5:30 (and Dinner too)
*followed inturn by Band Aiders !
I’ve had my ears to the ground trying to pick up the rhythm of the times
The heartbeat of the epoch … the sound of the generation
Instead … I heard that there is an awesome new band on the rotunda trying to catch their footing in the sound-scene
And I thought … we could listen to them! … and then throw fruit (… just kidding!)
So we will travel and listen and cheer and travel and play some games!
Meeting at Danny & Vicki’s at 7:00pm on Saturday Evening – Cost $1

WOOO – I only had to change the date on all of that stuff about this weekend (from last weekend)… the one small
benefit of having to postpone the great plans we concoct … I guess …
ANDYEAH – The Band that we will Aid … it’s a bunch of local guys who are getting themselves sorted to have a tilt
at the Rockquest Competition …
HERE – We go … hold onto your hats cos these guys go by the name : The Cardboard Kings! .. and
you heard it here first (well last week you probably heard it first) … whatever … you read it here!
AND – I gotta say it again .. even though I kinda have said it already .. that the Strongman Show on Saturday Night
was fair brilliant … No tricks … a whole lot of technique … and a seriously tough dude
ALSO – I finally received my new Computer Bits from the Computer Bits Shop … BUTT (and that is a Big Butt) …
they forgot to enclose in the package one of the Whatsit Thingarees that was supposed to be with the stuff.
Now my Motherboard will be happy but I am not quite so happy as my Motherboard.
ALSOALSO – Look who’s back … Timmy’s back … took off his pack … back on track … far from slack …
Super good to see you again young Timothy Stevens!
ALSOALSOALSO – I got to see Sophie’s leg on Saturday … youchies … Hope it gets better soon!
ALSOALSOALSOALSO – No Old Peoples Book Club this Week … we will do it again soon
ALSOALSOALSOALSOALSO – Next Week we are thinking about doing something for Rosine … and I would
like you to think about bringing one thing from your house that you don’t want any more that we might be
able to sell on TradeMe … get your thinking caps on and sharpen up those beady little eyes.

Mid-Week Mailer
Hello There
My Dad was always the philosopher … drawing on his knowledge of nature and experience – “You can’t get potatoes from the garden if you don’t plant any” he would say when we kids (that’s me and my Brother and Brother and Brother) would bemoan having to work in the garden … “You can’t go fishing if you have no bait” he would say as we would scurry by him cutting up bits of old rotten fish that would be stored in the fridge ready for the next trip in the boat. I couldn’t get my head around his logic back then … but oh how things can change with a little time. Over the past few months I have slowly gathered firewood and cut it and stored it … and now that the nights are cooling down .. I can get our fire a-burning … and the house is cosy and all seems well sitting in front of the flames … and my Dad would say …“Just like a squirrel who stores up for when he needs it!”… and I didn’t understand that either.

WONDER – If it is even possible to have your “Ears” to the ground … as in at the same time … unless your head is
kinda like stuck in a hole

swept up in the rollercoaster that was “The Seed” … who were doing that kinda stuff … well …

ALSO – Just in case you were wondering … my Motherboard is not in good shape … Thanks for asking. Poor thing
is getting a bit old and so I have ordered a new complete setup … just still waiting for the bits to arrive from
the USA … then I might get up and running at super-duper fast … no … uber-duber fast speeds … so long as
I can get one of those Orange Ultra Speeds Plastic Box Broadband things from near Sam & Holly’s house …
ALSOALSO – Gotta say it was mighty mighty nice to see Mrs Kimberly’s Mum out and checking up on the safe
home-delivery of her precious little one last Saturday evening!
ALSOALSOALSO – Our poor Sophie has still got a munted leg from her fall-off …Hope you’re feeling better soon!
ALSOALSOALSOALSOALSO – No Old Peoples Book Club this Week … we will do it again soon ALSOALSOALSOALSOALSOALSO – Last week I mentioned that I think there is now actually two babies of
ex-NYPDers from the old days that we know of and are awaitin’on … but then I found out that there is yet
another! Woohoohoo!
AND – To keep the gossip and wondering in some kind of order – those people are (if you are old enough to
remember them all then you just about need a medal … or a walking frame) – Colleen & Sam & Penny

Huge thanks to Joel and Colleen for their amazing work with the Youth Group over the past years, they've been a real blessing! Sad to see them go, but great that they are following where God is leading them.
