Amado Dios: Gracias por Tu Palabra, que habla a nuestro corazón y nunca regresa vacía.

En el servicio del domingo de Freedom Acts Church, el sermón fue acerca del ciego Bartimeo. Su nombre significa “Hijo de honor” o “Hijo de humildad”, y es hermoso ser recordados de que cada vida tiene honor, dignidad y valor para Ti.

La Pastora Derryne nos habló de 5 cosas que podemos aprender de Bartimeo, que nos ayudarán mientras esperamos un milagro:

Creyó que Jesús es un Dios que hace milagros.

Apeló a la misericordia de Dios.

Ignoró las voces de duda.

Ejerció su fe en Dios.

Dio toda la gloria a Dios.

Aunque la gente no creyó que valiera la pena llevar a Bartimeo ante Jesús, Él sí lo hizo, porque para Él Bartimeo era importante.

Lucas 18:41-42:
Jesús le preguntó: "¿Qué quieres que haga por ti?” Bartimeo respondió: "Señor, quiero ver”.
"Jesús le dijo: ‘Recibe la vista; tu fe te ha sanado’.”

Un día, Jesús también sanó mis ojos y pude ver, y al igual que Bartimeo, le seguí y quiero seguirle el resto de mis días, dándole todo el honor y toda la gloria aquí en la tierra, mientras pueda estar con Él en la eternidad.

Beloved God, thank You for Your Word, which speaks to our hearts and never returns empty.

In Sunday’s service at Freedom Acts Church, the sermon was about the blind man Bartimaeus. His name means “Son of Honor” or “Son of Humility,” and it is beautiful to be reminded that every life has honor, dignity, and value to You.

Pastor Derryne shared with us 5 things we can learn from Bartimaeus that will help us while we wait for a miracle:

He believed that Jesus is a miracle working God.

He appealed to God’s mercy.

He dismissed the voices of doubt.

He exercised his faith in God.

He gave all the glory to God.

Even though people did not think it was worth bringing Bartimaeus to Jesus, He did, because Bartimaeus was important to Him.

Luke 18:41-42:
Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” Bartimaeus replied, “Lord, I want to see.” Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”

One day, Jesus also healed my eyes, and I was able to see. Just like Bartimaeus, I followed Him, and I want to follow Him for the rest of my days, giving Him all honor and glory here on earth, as long as I live, and then forever in eternity.

Amado Dios: gracias por este maravilloso inicio del año 2026, llenos de vida, salud y, lo más importante, un corazón dispuesto a continuar sirviendo al Rey de reyes y Señor de señores.
Hoy tuvimos el primer servicio de este año, y nuestra Pastora Derryne nos compartió la Escritura que Tú nos diste como iglesia y como individuos: Lamentaciones 3:21-15 "Pero algo más me viene a la memoria, lo cual me llena de esperanza:
Por el gran amor del Señor no hemos sido consumidos y su compasión jamás se agota. Cada mañana se renuevan sus bondades; ¡muy grande es su fidelidad! Me digo a mí mismo: 'El Señor es mi herencia. ¡En él esperaré!'. Bueno es el Señor con quienes esperan en él, con todos los que lo buscan."
La parte del sermón que más destacó para mí fue: Jeremías hablaba consigo mismo y declaraba su esperanza y confianza en Dios. "Tengo mi esperanza en Dios, así que voy a confiar en Él, voy a esperar en Él". Además nos recordó una hermosa verdad: "Él no te fallará; Su amor continúa una y otra vez, y la voluntad y el propósito de Dios en tu vida se cumplirán."
Beloved God, thank You for this wonderful beginning of the year 2026, filled with life, health, and most importantly, a heart willing to continue serving the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Today we had the first service of the year, and our Pastor Derryne shared with us the Scripture You have given us as a church and as individuals: Lamentations 3:21–25 “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.’
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him.”
The part of the sermon that stood out the most to me was this: Jeremiah spoke to himself and declared his hope and trust in God. “I have placed my hope in God, so I will trust in Him, I will wait for Him.”
We were also reminded of this beautiful truth: “He will not fail you; His love goes on and on, and God’s will and purpose for your life will be fulfilled."
