BIG SLEEPOUT 2026

Raise vital funds and shine a light on the urgent issue of homelessness in Auckland.

Rev Augusten Subhan - Waitakere Parish Superintendent will be participating and representing as our leader here from Waitakere Methodist Parish.
Please go onto website https://bigsleepout.org.nz/ and look for his name and you can donate towards this cause.

Our Parish Goal would be to reach $3000 to raise money for the Life wise Merge Café to help support the homelessness.

If you would like to participate and register please let Angela know in the office and she will help guide you.

Every dollar you donate to The Big Sleepout 2026 will go directly towards the work of Merge Café - allowing us to continue offering a dignified, safe space where people experiencing homelessness are respected, given choices, and included in the community.

Today Rev. Augusten Subhan reminded us what real faith looks like — the kind that moves without hesitation.
Matthew followed Jesus instantly, leaving everything behind. And the woman in Matthew 9 reached for Jesus’ robe not because she had a Bible, certainty, or status… but because her faith carried her forward. She believed that even touching His garment would change everything.

We often leave our Bibles on the shelf, yet they acted on the little they had heard. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing — and today’s readings (Psalm 33:1–12; Matthew 9:9–13, 18–26) showed us a God who responds to those who seek Him.

With communion and our combined Ekalesia gathering, it was a powerful reminder:
Faith isn’t about what we hold in our hands — it’s about who we trust with our lives.💒

Praise the Lord….. but don’t mess with us. 😂😜😊
