If Noah had seen the rain, he wouldn't have needed faith to build the ark.

If Moses has seen the Red Sea already parted, he wouldn't have needed faith to lift his staff over the waters.

If David had seen Goliath already defeated, he wouldn't have needed faith to stand to fight.

If God showed us everything He was going to do before He did it, we wouldn't need faith to follow Him.

Uncertainty will either overwhelm us with fear, or we will overcome it by faith.

Our view of how big God is makes all the difference.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).

There is One Gospel by CityLight

There is one Gospel on which I stand
For all eternity
It is my story, my Father’s plan
The Son has rescued me
Oh what a Gospel, Oh what a peace
My highest joy and my deepest need
Now and forever He is my light
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ

There is one Gospel to which I cling
All else I count as loss
For there, where justice and mercy meet
He saved me on the cross
No more I boast in what I can bring
No more I carry the weight of sin
For He has brought me from death to life
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ

There is one Gospel where hope is found
The empty tomb still speaks
For death could not keep my Saviour down
He lives and I am free
Now on my Saviour, I fix my eyes
My life is His and His hope is mine!
For He has promised I, too, will rise
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ

And in this Gospel the church is one
We do not walk alone
We have His Spirit as we press on
To lead us safely home
And when in glory still I will sing
Of this old story that rescued me
Praise to my Saviour, the King of life
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Life has been hard lately, but here is a beautiful reminder of who is in control of all things and how tiny and insignificant we actually are. Well worth watching esp at this Easter time. Blessings

Although the official date (7th Oct) has passed, it is still good to reflect on those who sacrificed their lives for the Gospel.

Remembering Martyrs: On this day in 1536, William Tyndale was burned at the stake for translating the Bible into English. His last words were "Lord, open the king of England's eyes." For Tyndale, a Bible "for the people" meant all could drink from God’s Word without pressure or pretext and without a priest to read or interpret. Two years after Tyndale's death, King Henry VIII authorized distribution of the Matthew Bible, much of it Tyndale's work. Today we celebrate Tyndale’s life and the impact he made on Bible translation and access to Scripture.

“A rattlesnake bit one of my sheep in the face about a week ago. Deadliest snake that lives around here. The sheep’s face swelled up and hurt her terribly.

But the old rattlesnake didn't know the kind of blood that flows through the sheep. Anti-venom is most often made from sheep's blood. The sheep swelled for about 2 days but the blood of the lamb destroyed the venom of the serpent.

I was worried but the sheep didn't care. She kept on eating, kept on drinking and kept on climbing because she knew she was alright.

Often the serpents of this life will reach out and bite us. They inject their poison into us but they cannot overcome the Blood of the Lamb of God that washes away the sin of the world and the sting of death. Don't worry about the serpent or his bite, just make sure that the Lamb's Blood is flowing through your veins.”
