This Sabbath the Feilding Church is closed. We are having our annual Manawatu/Wanganui regional day at the Palmerston North Central church.

Some details about the day -
This regional day is Youth-led.

8:30am - United Prayer. Prayer is power, and we need to pray for each other, our church, and those whom we want to see in heaven one day. Join us at 8:30am for united prayer.

9:30am - Sabbath School
Our Adults and Youth are combining this week for a special Lesson put together by Brother Kofi Amoah. This lesson will be based on our Theme "Born Again" - and not following the usual quartely study.
For the High school/teen department, Brother Ben Curtis will also be sharing a study on the "Born Again" theme.
For other departments, these will be handled by the Palmerston North Central church.

Our Main service starts at 10:45am with music. Throughout our main service you will be blessed with testimonies, music, and special items. Our main speaker for the day is Noah Manuela from Auckland. Noah will be sharing his testimony, and linking to our main theme of "Born Again" through the Word of God.

LUNCH - is provided and catered for anyone who has come to the morning programmes. Enjoy fellowship with those from other churches in the region.

3pm - Afternoon programme featuring testimonies and special music.

Throughout the Israelite's journey to the promised land, they encountered many physical, emotional, and spiritual battles that impacted their lives as God’s chosen nation. But Moses knew that the Lord was merciful and gracious, and he reminded the Lord of His promise to accompany the people on their long journey. The Lord responded by assuring Moses that His presence will accompany them all the way (Ex 33:14).

The Israelite’s long wandering in the desert in some way resembles life in this world. God has promised the destination, but the journey brings many challenges and difficulties that can cause loneliness, doubt, and discouragement in the minds of God’s people. But time and time again, God continues to remind us of His close proximity through nature, His Word and the Spirit.

God’s divine presence is a constant theme throughout the Bible that promises peace, hope and stillness in the lives of His people. In the NT, it was Christ’s very presence that brought stillness to the stormy lake of Galilee (Matt 8:23-27) and restored peace to His disciples.

God has promised to be present with His people and the Sabbath is a great reminder of that promise. His presence is the climax of the Sabbath rest. May we all find rest in our Lord Jesus 🙏
