DELARGEY AWARDS FOR YOUTH MINISTRY

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Delargey Awards, which recognise significant and outstanding ministry with young people. In addition to identifying key contributors to youth ministry, the awards provide a chance to highlight the Church's outreach to teens and young adults.

The awards are named for Cardinal Reginald Delargey, former Archbishop of Wellington and Bishop of Auckland. Nominations close on July 31. Find out more at: bit.ly/Delargey2026

Fr Michael Pui, the national director of MissioNZ (the Pontifical Mission Societies in New Zealand), met Pope Leo in Rome this week. He thought it was fitting to bring the Pope a gift; Fr Michael gave the Holy Father an All Blacks cap 🏉🧢 (New Zealand Rugby)

He also reiterated the invitation for Pope Leo to visit us in New Zealand. This year marks 40 years since our only papal visit!

And while we're talking anniversaries, this year marks the 100th year of celebrating Mission Sunday globally!! Stay tuned for more on that commemoration in October.
