With immense joy and gratitude, His Eminence Ling Rinpoche is pleased to share the wonderful news that the knee surgery of our most precious and beloved Guru, His Holiness the Great Dalai Lama, has been successfully completed.

We offer our deepest prayers for His Holiness’s swift and complete recovery, unwavering health, and long life. May His Holiness continue to illuminate the world with his wisdom, compassion, and teachings, bringing peace and benefit to countless beings.

May all the noble aspirations of His Holiness be effortlessly fulfilled, and may the day soon come when he joyfully returns to Tibet.

🙏 A Blessed and Merit-Multiplied Saga Dawa Duchen to our precious Dharma family 🙏

Today, Mahamudra Centre lovingly and humbly celebrates the extraordinary life and legacy of Guru Shakyamuni Buddha.

On this auspicious day, we remember that the potential for full awakening resides within each of us. Following the advice of our precious Lama Zopa Rinpoche and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, let us use this day to generate a mind of bodhicitta—rejoicing in the virtues of others, practicing kindness, and dedicating every breath to the cessation of suffering for all universal beings.

Thank you for being a part of our mandala. May all your virtuous wishes be spontaneously fulfilled!

JOIN THE GLOBAL MANI RETREAT FROM YOUR OWN HOME
All over the world FPMT is bringing together students to join in to this remarkable at-home online Mani retreat over coming months. Featuring highly esteemed lamas such as HE Ling Rinpoche, Jhado Rinpoche, Serkong Tsenshap Rinpoche and Khandro Rinpoche, who will offer teachings each month, as well as group session practices to be led online by Geshe Tenzin Zopa, Geshe Thubten Sherab, Charok Lama Rinpoche and others, this at-home retreat allows us the opportunity to recite Mani mantras at our own pace.

It was one of Lama Zopa Rinpoche's fervent wishes to bring everyone together in celebration of the Buddha of Compassion, Chenrezig, in Mani retreats, and this Global Mani retreat has been coordinated across all FPMT regions of the world, commencing on the opening day of the holy Saka Dawa month. This is a precious opportunity to create benefit with all mantras recited being offered to His Holiness the Dalai Lama in person, at the end of the retreat. A Sacred Invitation: Entering the Holy Month of Saka Dawa.

Today, May 17, marks the dawn of the entire holy month of Saka Dawa—a rare, precious window of time and a supreme opportunity to direct our hearts, minds, and actions toward their highest potential. Running from May 17 through June 15, this sacred month invites us to step into our most vibrant spiritual commitments, offering a powerful refuge for purification and deep realization.

The crown jewel of this holy period is Saka Dawa Duchen on May 31, the most auspicious day of the year, commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana of our ultimate guide, Shakyamuni Buddha. Throughout this entire month, and peaking on this extraordinary day, the karmic waves of our actions are multiplied exponentially—with positive merits on Saka Dawa Duchen magnifying one hundred million times.

To honor this profound lineage and create the causes for world peace and the long life of our precious gurus, we warmly invite you to elevate your practice. In alignment with the heartfelt advice of Lama Zopa Rinpoche and the FPMT, this is an ideal time to engage in merit-multiplying actions:
• Taking the Eight Mahayana Precepts for a 24-hour period to purify and protect our vows.
• Reciting sacred texts, such as the Sutra of Golden Light or the Sutra for Remembering the Three Jewels.
• Cultivating universal compassion through acts of charity, liberating animals, and maintaining a pure vegetarian diet.
• Accumulating devotion through mantra recitation, prostrations, and beautiful, extensive light and water offerings.

Celebrate the Supreme Merit-Multiplying Day: Saka Dawa Duchen at Mahamudra.

Join us for a profoundly sacred day of collective practice on May 31 to honor the Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana. Our special, heart-opening programme will be unveiled shortly—we invite you to save the date, turn your mind toward the Dharma, and accumulate boundless, world-changing merit together.
