Another year at Waltham ANZAC Memorial Service standing alongside BB 14th Christchurch to honour the 43 fallen local soldiers from World War 1 and to reflect on the sacrifices others have made for us. We will remember them.

We had a good turn out on Anzac Day for the local service at the Waltham Memorial Gates. The girls are looking forward to adding an Anzac badge to their sashes! Lest we Forget.

If you are wanting your car to shine this week, GB is running a fundraiser over at Avonhead Baptist.
This money will go towards our adventure day at Waipara and hopefully our winter camp.

We are fundraising for 5th Christchurch Girls Bridage. Prices are $10 a head. We're thinking that the puzzles will be good for ages 10-77. And groups of 4 are advised

Hot Cross Bun Fundraiser!
The 5th Chch GB Pioneers are fundraising to go to a leadership course in the North Island. We are selling Hot Cross Buns in two flavours, original and chocolate, $6 for a packet of 6. PM this account to place your order, or nab a nearby girl or leader. Pick up will be on the 1st of April, 10am-11:59am at the Beckenham Methodist church Hall, 52 Martin Ave.

Our joyful and generous longest serving Captain, Joan Beaumont, peacefully passed away on Tuesday morning. We are having a service to celebrate her life on Saturday 1pm. All Brigaders, past and present, are invited to form a casual guard of honour to conclude the service.

The Canterbury Brigades are sending a team to Relay For Life. This is to raise money for the Cancer Society.
