“I became a Christian halfway through my freshman at NC State, the Harvard of the South. Pretty quickly, my life went from being all about bringing myself glory, to being all about bringing God glory.
•
I had my first taste of international ministry in 2013, when I went on a CCP to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia after my sophomore year of college. I still remember hearing a talk that summer about the needs of the world, specifically the 10-40 window, and feeling convicted about God’s plan for my life. Right then, I made a commitment to move overseas at some point in my life. I didn’t care when, I didn’t care what job I had, I didn’t care exactly where. I just knew that I wanted to be involved with a team working to see God’s Kingdom expand where the name of Jesus wasn’t widely known.

While I was a senior, I still had the desire to go overseas, but I felt God leading me to go on staff with Campus Outreach Raleigh. 2 years later, I had the chance to lead a CCP to Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2017. I loved it. I came alive, as if I was seeing in color for the first time. After the summer, I knew that God was calling me to go back to Chiang Mai, to help lead a LEAD team from CO Raleigh. Throughout the decision-making process, I kept coming back to the truths of Scripture, specifically Psalm 67.

“May God be gracious to us, and bless us, and make his face to shine upon us, that your way be known on earth, his saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy!”

I couldn’t read these, pray these, and not go. So, after 4 years on staff with CO Raleigh, my team and I moved to Chiang Mai at the end of August." @ Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Chiang Mai
