We are excited to see this opportunity available from the Avonhead Community Trust. This is a great programme, if you or anyone you know has a baby under 6 months, we'd encourage you to get involved and get equipped through SPACE.

Our playgroup is also available on Thursdays from 9:30am-11:30am in the Lounge, for those caring for babies and young children aged 0-5 years. Free play for children, connection for adults, morning tea provided.

👶Space Programme – Supporting You and Your Baby👶
Have you recently welcomed a new pēpi under 6 months old? 💛
Come and find connection, support, and a safe, welcoming space each week through Avonhead Community Trust’s SPACE programme — a place to journey alongside other parents and nurture your baby’s first year together.
We are excited to offer the Space programme from Parenting Place, designed to support you and your new pēpi throughout the first year while building meaningful connections with other parents.
Starting Monday, 4 May 2026 (9:45am – 12:00pm), this 20-week programme provides a safe, facilitated environment to explore parenting and your baby’s development.
Sessions cover topics such as sleep, attachment, brain development, play, attunement and reflective parenting, alongside music, books and play experiences.
Through the programme, we come together to:
🤍 Connect with other parents and caregivers of young babies
🍼 Learn about your baby’s development and the early parenting journey
☕ Share and support one another in a safe, welcoming space (with a delicious morning tea)
🤝 Build confidence, friendships, and community — because you don’t have to do this alone 💛
📆Starting Monday, 4 May 2026
⏰9:45am – 12:00pm, 20-week programme, during term time
