Over the weekend we had a couple of Salvation Army hi-viz vests stolen.
Please be aware of anyone asking for money and wearing one - We are not on the street collecting at this time of the year.

Staff and officers gathered at International Headquarters (IHQ) in London on 2 June 2026 for the official launch of an exciting new five-year strategy designed to strengthen how IHQ supports The General and serves The Salvation Army around the world.

The new strategy will guide IHQ’s work through to 2031, helping ensure that its efforts remain focused on People, Mission and Legacy. It unpacks how IHQ will deliver and demonstrate spiritual direction, strategic leadership and operational excellence.

2026 Conference Information

This year’s Conference will be held 9-11 October 2026 at Albany Bay Corps, 90 Rosedale Road, Auckland. Our theme is Do Not be Anxious About Anything (Philippians 4:6).

Conference registrations will open in July but please mark the date in your diary and plan to attend.

Accommodation is available nearby at Marsden Suites, Albany. They have offered a conference rate of $185 per night. To access this rate, please email them at [email protected] and reference the Salvation Army group ( #373). It is also worth checking availability before booking, as they often advertise special deals that may offer better value. Marsden Suites Albany | Marsden Hotel Group

The SPTF is excited by the breadth of possibilities of conference papers opened by this year’s theme of Do not be anxious about anything.

Whether or not you have presented a paper at Thought Matters or another conference in the past, you are invited to consider submitting an abstract for consideration. We often have several first-time presenters and a diverse group of speakers with regard to age, academic/lived experience, officer/soldier/employee/non-TSA, and content.

The Call for Papers is available, which provides more detail about the theme and possible ideas for presentations as well as information about what is required in an abstract. - Just DM us with your email and we'll send a copy.
