Congratulations to Brother John Paul (Jose O'Sullivan) who was ordained to the Diaconate at the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist, Boise, Idaho, USA by Bishop Peter Christensen on Wedneday, 27 May.

As a son of the parish, we continue to pray for Brother John Paul (and his family) as he continues his journey towards priesthood with The Fraternity of Verbum Spei.

As we celebrate the Most Holy Trinity this weekend, Fr Alister explores the mystery of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Trinity can be difficult to fully understand, but this weekend's Gospel gives us a beautiful starting point: God loved the world so much that he sent his only Son, not to condemn the world, but to save it.

Fr Alister invites us to slow down when making the Sign of the Cross and remember:
The Father loves me.
Jesus is with me.
The Holy Spirit helps me.

May we live and share God’s love with others this week!

In this week’s reflection, Fr Alister unpacks the Gospel for Pentecost Sunday. 🕊🙏

Jesus comes to his frightened disciples, says “Peace be with you,” and gives them the gift of the Holy Spirit. Pentecost reminds us that God does not leave us on our own — he fills us with peace, courage, and strength to live as followers of Jesus.

This Sunday is the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, and Fr Alister unpacks for us the Gospel!

Jesus sends his disciples out with a mission, and he gives them a promise too: “I am with you always.” This feast reminds us that Jesus is still with us, and that each of us is called to share his love in the world. No matter how hard it gets, Jesus will never break his promise to be with us always! 🙏
