with the end of the year creeping on us, we’re feeling grateful for every dancefloor moment we’ve carved out together... and every shared smile in the dark.

🔥🔥🔥RAVE-OLUTION // Ōtepoti 👉 first trip out of town, and what a ride… It’s one thing to throw events in your own city… it’s another to pack up the whole crew, head somewhere new.... and trust that the love for techno will find its way.

This one was a challenge, but the Temple crew was ready, because when it’s for techno ​→ we’re up for anything! Seeing people show up, dance, smile… that’s what makes all the doubts and stress disappear. That’s the reason we do it.🖤😎

👉 VLZQZ opened the night with something different — funky, uplifting, and still pure techno energy, setting the tone perfectly.
👉 Octave Parango delivered as always, emotional, driving, and irresistible.
👉 Cosmik travelled down from Wānaka for a long-awaited Temple debut, bringing hypnotic hard grooves that kept us on the floor.
👉 Karma closed the night for his first Temple set — hard, trance-infused power that carried us straight into the small hours.

Massive thanks to DropKicks Dunedin for hosting us, and to everyone who came to dance → your energy keeps this movement alive.

It still doesn’t feel real… the sound, the lights, the smoke, the people... every moment under that bridge felt like a reminder of WHY we do this 💜

TOMORROW NIGHT… 🖤🔥💣THE GROOVATORY opens its doors and it's time to meet the DJs:

🟣Maia Katz
Originally from Bulgaria and now based here in Ōtautahi, Maia’s sound thrives on rhythm and raw groove, deeply influenced by her Balkan roots and raving all around Europe. For her, curation is at the center of it all, with carefully sculpted mixes that explore techno made for the dancefloor.

Opening the night, you can expect acid baselines, playful percussion, some 90’s techno vibes, and of course → relentless groove.

🟣Octave Parango
A producer, DJ, and a long standing resident of the Temple of Techno. With a cult following and sets that keep you intrigued and take you on a journey every single time. You’ve seen him close with high-energy sets … but at The Groovatory expect to dive deep into the grooviest corners of his library.

Born and raised in France, Octave has played respected clubs and festivals, from France, to Melbourne and now New Zealand too shared stages with techno legends such as Carl Craig, Octave One, FJAAK, Radio Slave, Alan Fitzpatrick.

🟣Andialou
Andialou is an emerging DJ and producer from right here in Ōtautahi. Debuting at The Temple stage, and closing the night with an EXTRA groovy selection of raw, hypnotic, and hardgroove techno designed to make you move.
