Topic: "Jesus Christ: The Supreme Creator and Our True Purpose"

In Colossians 1:15–20, Paul emphasizes the supremacy of Jesus Christ. While writing to the church in Colossae, Paul reminded believers of who Jesus truly is and why He deserves first place in our lives.

- Jesus existed from the very beginning. He is God and remains God forever.
- Through Him, all things were created. Everything in heaven and on earth was made by Him and for Him.
- Humanity was created in the image of God, and we are born to honor and glorify Him.
- Jesus is the perfect model for how we should live our lives.
- Because He created us, He owns us. Yet in His great love, He was willing to risk everything for us.
- While we have limited authority, Jesus possesses all authority in heaven and on earth.
- Every achievement and blessing in our lives is possible only through the grace of God.
- Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again in victory. He is the Firstborn over all creation and the Firstborn from among the dead.
- His sacrifice was for the sins of all people, offering salvation to everyone who believes in Him.
- Only through Jesus can we experience true life and life in abundance.

A Question for Reflection:

Why do you live on this earth? What are you aiming for in life? Is your purpose found in money, success, or the job you have?

While we are called to work and fulfill responsibilities on earth, our ultimate purpose is much greater. Our true purpose is found in God. He should be the center and focus of our lives.

Challenge:

Choose Jesus today, for He is the way, the truth, and the life. Let Him be the purpose of your life and the foundation of everything you do.

At our Combined Service with Papanui Baptist church, Pastor Jeremy invited representatives from the organization Loop to share about their ministry and the work they do in the community. The team spoke about how God led each of them to become involved with Loop and how they have been called to serve young people. They shared about their work in schools, including Papanui High School, where they connect with students, build positive relationships, and support youth from different backgrounds. Through their experiences, they highlighted the importance of encouraging and guiding young people in their faith and everyday lives.

The speakers also emphasized the importance of having a strong prayer life. They explained that prayer helps us stay connected to God, seek His guidance, and remain faithful in the work He has called us to do. Their testimonies were inspiring and reminded us that God can use anyone who is willing to serve Him.

Overall, the service was both encouraging and uplifting. We were reminded of the impact that faith, service, and prayer can have on the lives of others, and we left challenged to trust God more deeply and to be a positive influence in our own communities.
