Some people proudly say, โ€œThis is just who I am. Iโ€™ve always been this way.โ€ But when we truly walk with Christ, we should not remain the same. We are called to change.

๐Ÿ“– โ€œTherefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.โ€ โ€” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Sometimes people can be very sensitive, and even a few words can deeply hurt or trigger them. Why? Perhaps because those words touched something real. Our words have power. They can encourage, heal, and build someone upโ€”but they can also hurt deeply and leave lasting wounds.

๐Ÿ“– โ€œDeath and life are in the power of the tongue.โ€ โ€” Proverbs 18:21

We should especially be careful with the words we speak to children. What we say to them can stay in their hearts and minds for many years. Let us choose words that encourage, teach, correct with love, and remind them of their worth in Christ.

None of us is perfect. We will make mistakes, say things we regret, and sometimes hurt others. When that happens, humble yourself, say sorry, ask for forgiveness, learn from it, and move forward.

And if someone has hurt you, donโ€™t allow an unforgiving heart to control your life. Forgiveness doesnโ€™t mean what happened was okayโ€”it means you choose to release it into Godโ€™s hands and refuse to let bitterness destroy your peace.

๐Ÿ“– โ€œBe kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.โ€ โ€” Ephesians 4:32

May we continue becoming more like Christโ€”not defending our old selves, but allowing God to make us new. โค๏ธ
