Over the past few weeks, the Pastoral Improvements team has been out across Canterbury, working alongside local farmers to carry out soil testing ahead of winter.

With soil conditions now stabilising, it’s a good time to test and get a clearer picture of what your paddocks need going into the colder months. Soil testing also helps ensure your fertiliser spend is well targeted. 🌱

Recently, the team completed soil testing and supplied drilling fertiliser for this kale crop on a North Canterbury dairy farm. The crop is coming away well and will help carry stock through winter. 🐄
