PART-TIME TEAM MEMBER WANTED🤩✨

We’re looking for a friendly, creative and capable person to join our team at Artisan Memorials on a part-time basis.

This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys working with people, has a good eye for detail and isn’t afraid to turn their hand to different tasks.

A sales, customer service or artistic/design background would be a real bonus, but more importantly, we’re looking for someone who is warm, organised, practical and confident communicating with people.

The role will include helping customers through the memorial selection and design process, assisting with artwork and layouts, general administration, and helping with the day-to-day running of our showroom.

Because of the nature of our work, you’ll need to be comfortable working with families who may be going through a difficult time, and be able to balance empathy with a friendly, down-to-earth approach.

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

Friendly and confident with customers
Creative with a good eye for design and detail
Organised and able to work independently
Comfortable using computers and learning new software
Practical and happy to help wherever needed
Experienced in sales, customer service, art or design — although this isn’t essential

This is a part-time position based in Marlborough, with hours to be discussed for the right person.

There are some moments that can leave a community heartbroken.

The loss of this precious wee baby has touched so many people across Marlborough. While words can never ease the sadness, it has been incredibly moving to see our community come together with such compassion, generosity and kindness to ensure this little one is farewelled with the love and dignity every child deserves.

To everyone who has offered support, whether through their time, kindness or generosity, thank you.

At Sowman’s Funerals, it has been a privilege to help bring together the many acts of compassion that will honour this precious life. Our thoughts remain with all those affected by this heartbreaking loss.

It's not a bad office for the day.

We're honoured to travel throughout Kaikōura, Marlborough and the surrounding regions, helping families create lasting memorials in places that hold special meaning.

Every memorial tells a story, and it's a privilege to play a small part in preserving those memories for generations to come.

🐾 A Place to Remember Faithful Companions

Some of the smallest footprints leave the biggest marks on our hearts.

It was an honour to create and install this custom granite memorial bench, providing a peaceful place to pause, reflect, and remember the loyal companions who brought so much love, comfort, and joy into our lives.

The bond we share with our pets is one that never fades, and we're privileged to help create lasting tributes that honour those treasured memories.

Thank you for trusting Artisan Memorials with such a special project. We even got a pretty special sunset on the way home❤️

Creating meaningful and lasting memorials is at the heart of what we do. We were privileged to assist Jackie and her family in honouring their Dad's memory.

Some days the office view is hard to beat.

Out on site last week carrying out memorial work in one of Marlborough's beautiful cemeteries. These peaceful places hold so many stories, and it's a privilege to help families honour those memories.

The winter light certainly put on a show while we worked. 🌿🕊️

Mother’s Day can be a beautiful day of celebration, but for many it’s also a quiet reminder of someone deeply missed.

Today we remember the mums, grandmothers, and mother figures, living and those who are no longer with us — the women whose love, guidance, strength, and little traditions still live on in our hearts every day.

Whether it’s through flowers placed lovingly beside a memorial, stories shared around the table, or simply taking a quiet moment to reflect, we hope today brings comfort in remembering the special memories they left behind.

From all of us at Artisan Memorials, we’re thinking of all Mum’s but especially those missing their mum this Mother’s Day. 🤍

Lest We Forget

Today we pause to remember the men and women who served, sacrificed, and gave so much for the freedoms we enjoy.

At Artisan Memorials, we are reminded every day of the importance of remembrance — of honouring stories, names, and lives that deserve to be remembered.

This ANZAC Day, we stand in quiet reflection with our community.
