Holiness isn't about being superior. When people truly encounter God's holiness, they don't feel elevated—they feel humbled. Think of Isaiah's 'Woe is me' or Peter's plea to 'Depart from me.' True holiness leads to a decrease in self-importance, as John the Baptist showed when he recognized Jesus must increase and he must decrease. It's all about recognizing His place and His holiness.
