New Zealand Muslim Association is organizing a community project to work with CCS Disability Action, one of New Zealand’s leading disability support and advocacy organisations.

We are looking for volunteers to help them with their greenhouse cleanup, painting, decking, and garden care projects.

This is an opportunity to give back and support the wider community. Commitment to this initiative of two community volunteer days follows a reflection session with a leading guest speaker and a family-friendly celebration day on the completion of the project.

NZMA is pleased to share information regarding the Ramadan 2026 Taraweeh programme at NZMA mosques:

1. 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 (𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬: 22 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞, 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐀𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝):

• Taraweeh Reciters:
- Qāriʾ Mahmood Hasan Ismail (Imām – Birkenhead Islāmic Centre)
- Qāriʾ Muhammed Aamir Ismail (Guest of Honour – South Africa)
- Ḥāfiẓ Faheem Patel (Guest – New Zealand / South Africa)
• Tafseer Programme:
- Brief Tafsīr (approximately 10 minutes)
- Delivered by the Imām After Tarāwīḥ
• Ladies’ Facilities: Available upstairs

2. 𝐏𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐛𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐣𝐢𝐝 - 𝐀𝐥-𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐣𝐢𝐝 𝐀𝐥-𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐞 (17 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭, 𝐏𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐛𝐲, 𝐀𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝)

This advisory has been prepared following due consultation and scholarly guidance.

We encourage all members of the community to review the advisory and follow the guidance accordingly when discharging their Fitrana obligations.
