This leads some to question faith altogether. If God is good, why does he allow so much pain and suffering in the world?

This isn’t an easy topic, and it’s one many of us have wrestled with. But it can also open up real conversations with others about faith, hope, and what we believe about God.

For many people today, questions about origins, the Bible, and science can feel like they’re in tension. Some assume science has moved beyond Scripture. Others are unsure how to hold both together in a thoughtful and honest way.

Huge thank you to everyone who came and made our 80th Birthday Celebration the joy it was. Thank you for the stories, the laughter, the faith in God and the celebration.

For those that couldn't make it, who have been part of the Kumeū Baptist Story, we also want to say thanks. You were missed.

If a church is around this long, there are ups and downs as you do life together as a family. We want to acknowledge Jesus as the centre of our celebration and of our church. Not our works but his. Not our plan but his. We are not perfect, but he surely is.
