Supporting Our Community - helping families in need
This week marked World Food Day, a reminder of the daily reality for many families facing food insecurity. For many years, our church has been proud to support Christian Care, a local organisation dedicated to helping those in need within our community.
Every week, we contribute non-perishable food and personal care items to Christian Care’s depot. They provide fresh vegetables, staples, dairy products, frozen foods, and meats to families in need. Their dedicated team delivers these supplies to homes in the Kohimarama and Orakei region — from Glen Innes to Remuera.
If you'd like to contribute, you're welcome to drop off non-perishable items at the church on Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday morning. Every little helps, and together, it can make a real difference.
Thank you to Christian Care for over 30 years of community support, and to everyone in our community who supports this ongoing effort. We the little Church at the corner of Taranaki and 34 Kohimarama Rd.

This Saturday KPC is opening its doors to host NKD’s last ever clothing sale. It's a unique fundraiser for KPC made possible by the generosity of NKD founder and designer through one of her very special customers, Jill Burns. It’s also a special opportunity for you, to buy these top quality clothes at bargain prices.

NKD is a much loved New Zealand women’s fashion brand established by Nichola Keast. When the time came to find a way to give people the last chance to buy one of her designer garments she approached KPC to suggest this unique partnership thanks to one of her most treasured customers. Jill Burns, a long time member of KPC, was also a long time a brand ambassador of NKD before it was even a thing. Alongside her many great qualities, Jill was known for her great style. The signature bright colours and striking designs of NKD matched her personality so it's no surprise her wardrobe was stacked with plenty of NKD items. Jill passed away last year making this event even more special. Jill and Nichola shared a common heritage, with both being born and bred Southlanders.

Doors are open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 28 June and again on Sunday 29 June (after church) from 11am to 12pm. On Saturday, morning tea will be served from 10am in the lounge. We are really looking forward to welcoming you to this special event! 🌸

Our little Church on the corner was shining bright this morning for our Pink Ribbon Morning Tea in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ Pink Ribbon appeal. A combination of wonderful people, delicious cakes and sandwiches and of course lashings of goodwill made for a happy and memorable morning. And we beat our fundraising target of $1000. We’re so blessed to have such a great community of
people who come together and make these events so special.

Our recent Sunday Service @9.30 Kohi Presbyterian Church welcomed Parishioners from St Luke’s, Somerville and St Heliers. Just one of the combined services between our Churches over Christmas Time. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet others who are part of our local faith community. And also others visiting for the Holidays.

Next Sunday 5 January we will gather at 10am at Somervell Presbyterian Church – 497 Remuera Road. Look forward to seeing you there. If anyone needs transport contact us via messenger here or the Church office.
PS Please share this post with your FB friends in case they would like to attend
