Groaning is the sound faith makes when the gap between God's promise and your current reality gets too wide for words.

Sometimes you just run out of language. You know how good God is, but you find yourself sitting in the middle of a deeply hard season.

From a distance, grumbling and groaning sound similar. They actually come from completely different places. Grumbling loses all expectation that God will move. Groaning is the raw noise of someone who has had enough of the pain but flat out refuses to let go of God.

If all you have left right now is a groan, you are not failing spiritually. You are holding on to the hope that comes from Jesus.

We are delighted to welcome Isabel Skúlason as our honoured guest speaker for Catch The Fire Auckland's Prophetic Conference.

Isabel carries an international prophetic ministry, training and equipping people to hear the voice of God, activate their gifts, and live out their prophetic destiny. Ministering out of deep intimacy with God, her Scripturally-grounded teaching releases a powerful impartation of the Father's love, His presence, and His power.

Join us for a time of powerful teaching, prophetic ministry, and Holy Spirit-led encounter as Isabel equips us to step boldly into all God has planned for our lives.

True surrender is giving Him permission to rewrite the very things you desire.

Sometimes there is a weight that comes when we carry a quiet resistance to what we know God is asking of us. We try to force our own obedience and grit our teeth through the process. But the most powerful prayer you can ever pray is incredibly simple: Father, I know you are good, so please change my heart.

When you let the Holy Spirit do His work in your heart, obedience stops being a burden. It simply becomes an overflow of who you are becoming.

We rarely give up because we run out of strength. We give up because we lose sight of the shore.

Life can sometimes feel like swimming in freezing water. The daily struggles, the heavy grief, and the unpredictability of the world act like a thick fog that makes the finish line completely disappear.

When we lose sight of eternity, the exhaustion takes over and we easily slip into just trying to survive the week. But holding onto an eternal perspective changes the exact way we live right now. It pushes us to build our marriages with deeper intention. It causes us to do our normal jobs with absolute excellence and integrity. We suddenly realise that even a simple smile offered to a stranger carries massive weight.

Every house has one.
The drawer that doesn’t quite work.

You have to lift it a little.
Pull it towards you.
Wiggle it to the left.

And after a while, you stop thinking the drawer is broken.
You just get really good at opening it.

We can get frighteningly good at working around things.

- Avoiding that subject.
- Managing that old pain.
- Bracing for that reaction.
- Keeping that person at a distance.

Eventually, the workaround feels normal.

That’s why we are inviting you to Freedom Day on Saturday, August 29th. A day set aside to seek God about what’s actually keeping you stuck.

Maybe you don’t need a better technique for living around it?
