Cession Community Weโ€™re a community that values one another, strives to serve the community and engages faith in a creative, relevant way. We like to sing.

We meet on Sunday evenings from 5pm because it works for people who value spending Sunday daytime with family and friends. We share a meal together because we like spending time. We do lots of creative, multi-media, participative, multi-sensory and engaging stuff to get to the heart of who God is and who we are. Someone, often one of our pastors, will share a message applying the Bible to life. We're pretty relaxed and everyone is welcome wherever they're at.

Redeemed: justified freely by his grace

Can grace ever run out?

While society may have discarded the idea of sin, the appetite for public shaming and utter rejection of those who miss the mark has risen to a fever pitch. In an age of everlasting digital footprints and ChatGPT-generated apologies, the path to true redemption seems more perilous than ever.

In this series, weโ€™ll explore what the bible says about redemption and the hopeful possibility of living a transformed life.

This Sunday is a 5th Sunday, so we will be holding our Breathe service.

Join us this Sunday from 5.00pm for our Breathe service.
We begin with a Shared Community meal at 5.00pm and our service at 5.30pm.
Breathe Services give our community the chance to share what God has been doing in their lives. This time we have a focus (but not limited to!) on our recent Alpha course
As always, our Shared Community meal is a 'bring as you can' basis. If you are unable, or forget, no worries, you are still welcome, there is always plenty.

This Sunday we start our final week of Alpha at an earlier time of 3.00pm. We will break about 5.00pm for our Community Meal.
Both our adults and young people will be looking at the Holy Spirit.
Who is the Holy Spirit and what role does He have today.
What does the Holy Spirit do.
Gifts of the Spirit, how we can make the most of our lives and what next.

For our 6th week of Alpha our adults explore 'How and Why Should I Read the Bible?". We look into whether the Bible is relevant today, how it came to exist and how God speaks to us through His written word.
Our young people are in week five of their Youth Alpha course and they get to build on session four and will explore the practical and personal ways we can grow in our relationship with God, such as prayer, reading The Bible and worship.

This week our adults have their fourth session of Alpha: 'How can I have faith? What does it mean to be Christian, to be someone who follows Jesus Christ and put our faith in Him?

Our young people are in week three of their Youth Alpha course where they explore what real love looks like by seeking meaning of real, unconditional, sacrificial love, exploring sin, forgiveness, and Godโ€™s amazing grace.

Even though we are part way through the Alpha course, it is still a great opportunity to invite friends and whฤnau along to.

Alpha NZ has an app you can download on your Apple or Android phone that you can catch up on, or rewatch past sessions. See the latest email for the QR code below that will take you to your App store. You will need to enter our cession|community Course ID to be able to watch past sessions

Kia ora e te whฤnau,

Like all of you, we've been following the progress of Cyclone Vaianu and the current advice from Met Service.

After careful consideration, we've decided to cancel our Worship Gathering this evening. Whilst things may seem quieter out there right now, high winds are expected later this afternoon, making travel by road more treacherous.

Please keep safe out there and continue to follow advice from Met Service ( https://www.facebook.com/MetService )and Auckland Emergency Management ( https://www.facebook.com/aklcdem/ ) .

This Sunday we celebrate Easter with our now Annual Whฤnau Fun Night with egg and spoon races (watch out for the trickery Nicola and Melissa have scrambled up for it this year!), cookie decorating and prizes that are full of Easter treats.

With this service including a bit of extra fun, alongside our normal worship time and sermon, this is a great service to invite friends and whฤnau to.

At this stage, the plan is to meet at Eastern Beach Reserve (Mcleans end) at 5pm for a BBQ. There is a rain plan so if it questionable, keep your eyes out the change of plan.
