Message: We Do Not lose heart.
Settle in, buckle up…
- We worship a God who never gets tired of us. His arms are fully extended, merciful, kind and gracious. His love never fails or runs out!
- Come with whatever you’re carrying and bring it to God!
- Let Him renew, restore and refresh you.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
- The Corinth church… we’re questioning Paul…
- Paul writes to the Church: and clears up a few things.
- Ministry… real ministry might not look good, but when we are weak He is strong… God shows up best during these times. When we are weak or suffering doesn’t mean God has left us… He often grows us during these challenging times.
- The believers were confused because Paul is dealing with persecution and the church is thinking if he’s in prison then how is he doing right in the eyes of God? How is that success?
- Paul informed the Church that success doesn’t need to look like wealth and prosperity and adjusting our focus on the things that are unseen.
- Ministry is hard, but God renews us on the inside.
- If you’re upset and start texting someone…. Pause, take a deep breathe and go back to it in 10mins.
- Weakness is not a sign of failure…but a sign that God can work in our lives.
- He is shaping and strengthening you!
- V17. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
- V18. Discipline your focus. If you stare at your problems, you’ll lose heart. Focus on what is unseen not seen. Don’t lose heart!
- Start fixing your eyes on Him and His promises! live with eternity in view!
- Do not lose heart, as He is teaching us beyond the visible but the eternal glory. Fix your gaze.
- Stand firm on what is unseen. 🙏🏽
