Wonderful clearing of the weeds and overgrown coprosma in Symonds Street Cemetery which had become so overgrown we were in danger of losing a number of graves. Thank you Waitematā Local Board for not only listening to us but acting quickly and decisively. The two young Ventia workers are so hard working and thorough. Can’t thank them enough. They will also chip the cut down coprosma and pittosporum on site and spread in the cemetery . Such a good job. Now FSSC can concentrate on tidying the graves .

One of the original metal frames for a headstone.... some headstones (headboards) were made from timber that of course rotted away after some decades in the weather. There are only a few surviving examples.
