LATEST DETAILS FOR TRAVEL TO ISRAEL. From my travel wholesaler.

It's finally happening, the day we have been all waiting for:

*As of Friday, May 20, at midnight (on the night between Friday and Saturday, May 21), the following guidance will take effect:

*It will not be required to present a negative result on a COVID test before boarding a flight to Israel or a cruise to Israel or before arriving at an Israeli land border crossing.

*The PCR testing mandate for those entering Israel at airports and maritime and land border crossings will be lifted.

*It will not required to isolate for 24 hours after entering Israel.

Note:
The mask mandate during international flights – will remain in effect. The requirement to fill an entry statement before arriving in Israel via air or sea – will remain in effect.

For those wanting to go to the land we will continue to Monitor possibilities for future tours.

Greetings from the Holy Land.
As of this morning Israel has:
Number of death because of Corona: 208
Number of infected people: 15,589
Number of people in serious conditions: 94
Number of people recovered: 7,375
Unemployment: 27.4% (Early March: 3.6%)
Israel is in the midst of opening up the economy. The government of Israel (in practice) ended quarantine and allowed most business to open up. Most retail stores are allowed to open (indoor shopping malls are still closed) keeping social distancing. Elderly people and people with certain medical conditions are asked to stay in house. Two weeks ago Israel opened schools for children with special needs. Next week Israel will open elementary schools for the first 3 grades and high schools for 11th and 12th classes. If the numbers related to the Corona virus will continue to show signs of slowing down, I believe that all graders will allow to go back to school early May. Events with large gatherings are still not allowed so all venues of entertainments and sports are closed.
Some international airlines announced that they will start flying to Israel in May/June. However, as long as Israel requires from all incomings to Israel to stay in quarantine for 2 weeks, there will be no tourists/pilgrims business to Israel. True to today the government of Israel didn’t announce any plans to lift the 2 weeks quarantine
