Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today, we give thanks for the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who have been a source of love, strength, guidance, and faith in our lives.

We also remember with gratitude those fathers who have gone before us, entrusting them to the loving mercy of our Heavenly Father. May God bless and strengthen all fathers as they continue to nurture, lead, and love their families.

As we celebrate Father’s Day, may we be reminded of the gift of fatherhood and, above all, of the perfect love of God our Father.

Join us today at the Cathedral of St Patrick & St Joseph as we come together in the Holy Mass to give thanks and pray for all fathers and father figures in our community. 🙏

The 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time..
Last Sunday, Peter declared Jesus is the Messiah and Jesus called him the rock. This Sunday, right after that high point, Peter tries to tell Jesus NOT to suffer and die.
Jesus rebukes him sharply: “Get behind me, Satan!” - because Peter is thinking like the world, wanting glory without the cross.

MASS READINGS | 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

As we prepare to gather for Mass this Sunday, let us take a quiet moment to sit with the Word of God.

Before we hear the readings proclaimed at Mass, allow Scripture to speak to you personally. What is God inviting you to notice? Where might He be calling you to trust Him more deeply, to let go, or to follow Him more faithfully?

The readings are not simply words we hear at Mass. They are an invitation to encounter God, to open our hearts to His voice, and to allow His Word to shape the way we live.

May we come to the Eucharist with hearts that are prayerful, attentive, and ready to receive whatever the Lord desires to give us.

We look forward to welcoming you to Mass tomorrow at the Cathedral of St Patrick & St Joseph. 🕊️

A beautiful Sunday at our 9am Mass, as our national seminarians from Holy Cross Seminary joined and led our Cathedral Music Ministry. 🎶⛪️

We are deeply grateful for their joyful service, their love for the Church, and the gifts they share with our parish community. Their presence and participation enrich our liturgy and remind us of the many ways we are called to serve. 🙏🏽

We are blessed to support and celebrate the vocation journey of our seminarians as they prepare for priestly ministry. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue their formation and discernment. ✝️
