We want to acknowledge Bunnings for their generous support of our work. Many of you will remember that at the beginning of the year, our Rata Early Childhood Centre experienced a fire. In response, Bunnings kindly donated a new clothes dryer and vacuum cleaner to help us get back on our feet. They also spend time with our tamariki, coming in to teach fun and creative crafts — always a highlight for the children. In addition, they have donated brand‑new shelving for our foodbank and even installed it themselves. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support and partnership.

What an incredible weekend it has been. On Saturday, we had the joy and honour of dedicating our little twins during their first birthday celebration. Then today, our hearts were full once again as we welcomed two new adherent members and enrolled three new soldiers. 👏

It was such a joy to gather together on Sunday for our monthly Celebration Service. We continued our Armor of God series, focusing this month on the breastplate of righteousness. We explored what righteousness truly means and what the Bible teaches about living it out. Our soldier made another appearance, reminding us how vital the breastplate is in a soldier’s armor and how essential righteousness is in our own spiritual lives. We also heard a powerful testimony from Brett Baker, who shared how righteous living shapes his everyday decisions and walk with God. After the service, we enjoyed morning tea together.

We’ve had such a great time celebrating Samoan Language Week over the past few days.🇼🇸 We kicked things off on Sunday with a beautiful dedication ceremony, and our church service was led so beautifully by the Tama'ali'i family with Jenny Baker sharing God’s Word with us.
Over the week our Samoan team members shared stories about their culture and the villages their families come from. These moments were honestly pretty special — we learned heaps, tried new activities together, and just enjoyed being part of each other’s world. We wrapped everything up with a shared celebration meal, which was the perfect way to finish the week and enjoy each other’s company.
What a special week — we are truly blessed. Ua moni lava, ua fa’amanuia i tatou.

There was great kai, good company, laughter and even a Harley in the room. Men of all ages enjoyed the time together and asked when the next one will be.

✨ A big week of celebrations!
We celebrated Tobias’ dedication on Sunday, celebrated with cake that we achieved 100% Red Shield Appeal site coverage with 247 hours collected, and supported Breast Cancer Awareness and Pink Shirt Day with plenty of treats and learning along the way.
A huge congratulations to Ashleigh from Rata Educare on her recent graduation. So much to be proud of this week!

We celebrated our beautiful wāhine on Sunday. It was a joyful morning honouring all women—mums, spiritual mums, aunties, and every wāhine who nurtures and influences our lives.

We enjoyed a fun round of It’s in the Bag, took time to remember the wāhine who’ve gone before us. Linda shared God’s word, highlighting four women in the Bible whose encounters with Jesus brought transformation, while Allan painted a butterfly as a symbol of that change. We finished with a lovely morning tea together.
