Spring has arrived! 🌼
It's the first Sunday of the month, which means it’s time for Celebration Sunday! Join us this Sunday at 10:00am as we gather for worship, fellowship, and celebration.
We will be continuing our Armor of God series. It's also Father's Day, and we'll be taking time to honour and celebrate the fathers and the men of influence who have helped shape our lives.
Stay and enjoy a special morning tea after the service as we continue the celebration together ☕️🧁

August was a month full of connection, culture, learning, and community at Waitākere.

We celebrated Cook Islands Language Week and Tongan Language Week, hosted Money & Milo sessions, and brought our community together for our Money Month Event. We also had the privilege of honouring and celebrating the lives of two valued members of our community, standing alongside their whānau during this time.

We finished the month by supporting Daffodil Day and raising awareness for those affected by cancer. 💛

Thank you to our staff, volunteers, partners, and community who continue to make a difference every day.

Last Sunday we gathered for our much-anticipated Celebration Sunday, always a highlight filled with excitement and surprises. We continued our Armor of God series, focusing on the shield of faith, and were blessed by Pete’s powerful testimony of how it has strengthened his faith journey.
We were reminded that while our shield protects us individually, we are even stronger when our shields are linked together. It was another wonderful morning of worship, encouragement, and fellowship, followed by some delicious kai together

We have loved celebrating the season of Matariki across our centre. Last week, our staff reflection time gave us a special opportunity to connect, remember, and be thankful.
We also enjoyed Matariki gatherings with our ECEC whānau, staff, and Sunday congregation. These meaningful celebrations have helped us grow in our understanding of Matariki and strengthen our connections with one another and our community. ✨

We are delighted to welcome Caroline Jewkes as our guest speaker. Caroline will be sharing a message titled "Every Relationship: A Holy Covenant."
Following the service, we will enjoy a shared lunch together, providing a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and connection.
We look forward to celebrating with you and seeing you there! 🌟🙏🍽️

Our staff recently spent a few hours off-site for a team development session. Together, we deepened our understanding of our CliftonStrengths Top 5 strengths and explored how we can better leverage each other's unique talents to serve our community more effectively. It was a fun, relaxed, and encouraging time of learning and connection.
A special thank you to Deane Goldsack for facilitating such a valuable and engaging session. We appreciate the insight, guidance, and support you brought to our time together.

Our monthly Celebration Sundays are always an exciting and memorable time—you never quite know what might happen! We continued our series on the Armor of God, focusing on the shoes of the gospel of peace.
This Sunday certainly lived up to the Celebration Sunday spirit, featuring a fun sumo wrestling challenge and an all-age quiz about shoes. We also shared a very special moment as we enrolled Quintin as a Senior Soldier. Quintin shared his personal testimony, which was both powerful and inspiring to everyone present.
We concluded our time together by sharing kai, enjoying fellowship and connection as a church whānau.
