When someone you love starts drifting from faith, what do you do? Write them off? Look the other way?
James ends his letter with a powerful rescue mission: “He who turns a sinner from the error of his ways will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.” (James 5:19-20)
Real faith doesn’t abandon wanderers—it goes after them with prayer, truth, and gentle grace. Before we step in, we must examine our own hearts (Matthew 7). Are we walking in humility? Can we speak truth without crushing? Then, like the Good Shepherd, we pursue with love that’s both tender and truthful.
After all, Jesus came after us when we were lost. Now we become instruments of that same grace.
