A Pioneering Dawah Centre in Oceania
New Zealand Islamic Information Centre (NZIIC) & Masjid At Taqwa is one of the pioneering Islamic Dawah centres established in Oceania, dedicated to serving the Muslim community and conveying the authentic message of Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims.
Our work is centred upon the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, with an emphasis on sound Islamic knowledge, sincere Dawah, community service and education.
Our Dawah & Islamic Outreach
For many years, our centre has worked to make authentic Islamic knowledge accessible to people from different backgrounds, cultures and communities.
Our Dawah activities include:
* Distribution of Islamic Materials
Providing Qur’ans, translations of the Qur’an, Hadith books, Islamic literature, Dawah pamphlets and educational resources.
* Qur’an & Sunnah Education
Promoting the understanding and practice of Islam based upon the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah.
* Dawah to Non-Muslims
Introducing people to Islam, answering questions about Islam and providing reliable resources for those who wish to learn more about the faith.
* Support for New Muslims
Welcoming new Muslims and providing guidance, educational resources, Islamic classes and community support as they begin their journey in Islam.
* Islamic Classes & Lectures
Organising educational programmes, lectures, seminars and regular reminders covering Aqeedah, Fiqh, Seerah, Hadith, Qur’an and other areas of Islamic knowledge.
* Scholarly Guidance
Facilitating access to qualified scholars and students of knowledge for religious questions, education and community guidance.
Federation of Islamic Scholars
Our Dawah and educational work also benefits from connections with qualified Islamic scholars and graduates of recognised Islamic institutions, including scholars associated with the Islamic University of Madinah.
We aim to ensure that Islamic information distributed through our centre is based upon reliable sources and sound scholarship, while encouraging Muslims to refer matters of knowledge and Fatawa to qualified scholars.
