𝘔𝘢𝘭. 3:2 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴? 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘳'𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘴' 𝘴𝘰𝘢𝘱.⁣
𝘔𝘢𝘭. 3:3 𝘏𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘪 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘖𝘙𝘋.⁣

Ever wonder why the trials of life get so hot?

In ancient times, a silversmith knew the refining process was complete only when the dross (impurities) was gone and he could see his own face clearly reflected in the liquid silver.

God does the exact same thing with us. He is the Refiner and the Fire, and our faith is the gold.

Here is what happens when you go through the fire:

🔥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝: In Genesis 32, Jacob wrestled with God and is blessed and given the name Israel. Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered.” The sun rose on Jacob at Peniel. The trial ended, not because his circumstances changed, but because his identity changed. Jacob saw God's face and stopped reflecting his own manipulative nature and started reflecting the nature of a "Prince with God" (Israel). He saw God clearly. The refining fire ends when God looks at you and sees His own Son's character reflected back at Him.

🔥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐝: 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘭 3:27𝘣 …𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘯. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘢𝘬𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰 𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘶𝘱𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮. When Nebuchadnezzar looked in the furnace at Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, he sees them walking freely, unbound, and unharmed. What did the fire actually burn? The ropes.
The "dross" in your life is anything that ties you to this world—the fear of man, the love of approval, the anxiety over provision. The fire does not destroy your soul; it destroys your bo***ge. The heat that breaks others sets you free.

🔥 𝐈𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮: The three friends thrown into the fiery furnace had already reached the "Peniel" moment before the fire started. They declared, "𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘶𝘴... 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘏𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵, 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘸" (𝘋𝘢𝘯 3:17-18). Their dross was already gone. They didn't need to be refined into gold; they already were gold. The Son of God immediately appeared beside them. When you face affliction, do not just pray for escape. God's highest purpose is to join you in the trial. When the world looks at your trial, they shouldn't just see a brave person; they should see a fourth Man walking with you.

🔥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝: 1 𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 1: 6-7 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯, 𝘪𝘧 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘦, 𝘺𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴: 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩, 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘩, 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦, 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵. When Christ returns, He looks for His image reflected in your trust. True faith glows under heat, bringing Him praise, while counterfeit faith shrivels away. The fire proves your faith is genuine. This tested faith endures to the end, ensuring your eternal salvation.

🔥 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐬: The salvation of souls is the ultimate result because a purified Church is a magnetic Church. When your faith is refined, your life becomes a bridge that leads others to be reconciled to God. When Nebuchadnezzar saw the Son of God his response was "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego... no other god can deliver in this way." (Dan 3:28-29). The objective of your pure faith—the salvation of souls—is achieved in the fire because a tested faith proves the Gospel is true. Your endurance shouts, "Christ is alive!" Your joy in the fire whispers to a dying world, "This salvation is real."

So do not despise the furnace. The Refiner is sitting with you. The gold is your faith. And the end result is not just your rescue, but the light that leads many others home. "That the genuineness of your faith... may be found to result in praise and glory and honour at the revelation of Jesus Christ"—and when He is honoured, souls are saved.

🐝 Yesterday a group of homeschooling teens took part in a working bee to help tidy and clean up the carpark and gardens at ACA.

They are part of the Duke of Edinburgh’s award to serve churches and community and organisations every Wednesday, doing clean-ups, gardening, cooking, anything that is needed. Most have been a part of this service for at least 3 years.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a global youth development program for people aged 14 to 24. Participants build life skills by completing challenges in volunteering, physical sports, personal skills, and outdoor expeditions.

Our appreciation and thanks to all for an amazing job done and for donating their time and resources

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠

The Hebrew for red is the same root word: 𝘥𝘢𝘮 is blood, and 𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘮 is red. You should also know that the word for man, or humanity is 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘮, hence Adam's name. And the word for earth, from which he was created, is 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘢. These words are 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 and come from the 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁. Earth came first, then man was formed out of that earth (Adam came from 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘢), with blood which is red (𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘮).

𝙕𝙚𝙘𝙝 3:3 𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘑𝘰𝘴𝘩𝘶𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘨𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭
Joshua as the high priest of Judah, represented the people of Israel. The filthy garments he was clothed in symbolised the sins they were mired in: their disobedience, their neglect of true worship, and their 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁𝘀.

🩸Jesus' blood provides atonement and cleansing from all sin (𝘓𝘦𝘷 17:11, 1 𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯 1:6-7). We need to 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 for the 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 of Jesus to be effective, and the 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁.

🩸 Believers 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 (𝘙𝘦𝘷 12:10-11)

🩸 A 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗱 conscience removes dread and fear, allowing a believer to 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 the 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱 with a clear and confident heart (𝘏𝘦𝘣 9:14)

🩸Jesus's crucifixion took place 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲. Jesus was rejected. He was put out of society; the world did not want him. As believers, sooner or later, and in one way or another, it is going to be the way in which the world will treat us also. We must be 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗶𝗺 - to the place of crucifixion, rejection and shame - 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 (𝘏𝘦𝘣 13:11-12)

🩸His blood opens a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗮𝘆 - joy, peace, assurance, no sin, no lack etc (𝘏𝘦𝘣 10:19-20) Thank God we have a new Living way!

🩸 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 are exclusively ground in the complete blood-bought 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀. Peace with God 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 through human effort - it is a 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝘊𝘰𝘭 1:5)

🩸It is not just 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 which as a church we do when we are together, it is an 𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 (𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 6:54-56)

𝐍𝐄𝐇𝐔𝐒𝐇𝐓𝐀𝐍 - 𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐒 🐍

During the Exodus when the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way (Num 21:4), the people spoke against God, and against Moses, asking 'Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die?'

They could see a miracle every moment (pillars of fire and smoke led them day and night) and they still complained. When the Lord sent fiery (poisonous) serpents among the people and they were bitten and many died, they came to Moses saying they had sinned and asked him to pray to the Lord that the serpents be taken from them. And Moses prayed for the people (Num 21:7).

Then the Lord said to Moses, “𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘦; 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯, 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵, 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦.” So Moses made a 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the brass serpent, 𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱. (Num 21:8-9)

The story about the brass serpent is clearly a 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗰𝘆 about 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 dying on the cross. What do we see in 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 on the cross? What can we learn from this story? While the brass serpent healed snake bites, where did the sickness and poison go? We now know God put them on 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗻. Jesus took 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 that was against us on the cross. Jesus gives 𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴.

❤️‍🩹𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿: 𝘌𝘹 15:26 “𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴, 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘨𝘺𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴. 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶.”

Sin separates us from God. When Adam and Eve were banished from the garden, this separation started the process of perishing, the slow degradation and gradual destruction of their humanity. Separation doesn't just make us 'bad', we become unrecognisable, losing not just our happiness but our humanity. The image of God that we're made from that makes us human, is broken.

Jesus is the righteousness of God. He is our bargaining chip with God. He is not an addendum, He is the main part in our ministry. He gives us our purpose.

Like Lot, you have to obey the message, the commandment to go out - don't stop, don't look back. The Lord will never blink on ungodliness and wickedness, but will also provide a way out for us.

The righteousness of God is the way out to salvation. We will save our lives by living for Jesus and telling others about Him.
