Now in its 35th year, the fellowship is a national literary award offering published New Zealand writers the opportunity to focus on their craft full-time. It provides an annual stipend of $20,000 and a eight-month tenure at the Sargeson Centre in Auckland.

Calling all writers – applications are now open for the 2021 Grimshaw Sargeson Fellowship.

The Grimshaw Sargeson Fellowship is back looking for writers ready for their 2021 placements. The Fellowship, now in its 34th year, is a national literary award offering published New Zealand writers the chance to focus on their craft full-time, a historic environment to write in, along with financial support and networking opportunities.

The Grimshaw Sargeson Fellowship is a stipend for published New Zealand writers allowing them to focus on their writing free from financial pressure.

Applications for the Grimshaw Sargeson Fellowship for 2019 are open. The Fellowship provides published New Zealand writers with an annual stipend of $20,000 and tenure at the Sargeson Centre in Auckland. Applications will close at the end of September. The Literary Advisors are drawn from some of the country's leading writers. The residency runs from 1 April to 30 November 2020. This year's Fellows are Chloe Honum and Chye-Ling Huang.

Grimshaw & Co and the Frank Sargeson Trust are proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2019 Grimshaw Sargeson Fellowship.

Now in its 32nd year, the Fellowship is a national literary award offering published New Zealand writers, based both locally and internationally, the opportunity to focus on their craft full-time by providing an annual stipend of $20,000 and tenure at the Sargeson Centre in Auckland.

Playwright Carl Bland and writer David Howard were the recipients of last year’s Fellowship, with Carl taking the first half of the tenure and David just starting his placement in Auckland.

Applications close on Friday 5 October 2018, with the tenure due to start on 1 April 2019. Download the application form here.

Applications for the Grimshaw Sargeson Fellowship for 2017 are now open. The Fellowship provides published New Zealand writers with an annual stipend of $20,000 and tenure at the Sargeson Centre in Auckland.

Applications will close at the end of September with an announcement expected early November after the Trust and Literary Advisors have made a decision on who will be awarded the Fellowship. The Literary Advisors are drawn from some of the country's leading writers. The residency runs from 1 April to 30 November 2017.
