Meet Julie 👋

Julie has spent over 12 years supporting children, young people, adults, and whānau through life's challenges. With qualifications in counselling and social work, she's passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where people feel heard, supported, and encouraged.

Whether someone is working through trauma, family challenges, difficult life experiences, or simply needs someone to walk alongside them, Julie believes everyone deserves compassion, understanding, and hope.

Her approach is warm, down-to-earth, and centred around helping people recognise their strengths, build confidence, and move towards a happier, healthier future.

Introducing the newest FCM team member

FCM is definitely expanding this year, and we’re so excited to welcome Jeanene to the team!

Jeanene is currently completing her Bachelor of Counselling at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute (BTI). She is passionate about supporting young people and individuals to navigate life’s challenges, grow in confidence, and move toward their full potential.

Jeanene offers a safe and respectful space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported. Her training in Person-Centred counselling and professional ethics equips her to work with a range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, relationships, identity, and grief. Grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, she is committed to culturally responsive practice.

With a warm and compassionate presence, Jeanene has a genuine desire to walk alongside others on their journey.

Jeanene works in our Pukekohe office and offers online sessions too.

Meet Estelle 👋

Estelle holds a Bachelor of Counselling from Laidlaw College, with training in person-centred counselling, narrative therapy, and a wide range of counselling approaches. Her studies also explored biblical, theological, philosophical, and cultural perspectives shaping a truly holistic approach to care.

Estelle comes from a farming background and was also a pharmacist for many years.

With experience supporting children, young people, and adults, Estelle brings a gentle and grounded presence to her work. She is known for her caring, compassionate, and empathetic nature. Estelle walks alongside each person with authenticity, supporting their journey toward healing and growth.

Meet Cath 👋

With a Bachelor of Counselling, Cath is trained in person-centred counselling, CBT, and narrative therapy. She takes a collaborative approach, walking alongside each person to find what truly supports their unique journey.

Having spent over 10 years living and working in Cambodia, Cath brings an understanding of multicultural contexts. She has supported children, young people, and adults, always creating a space where people feel seen, heard, and valued.

Known for her empathy and encouragement, Cath is passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges, grow in self-awareness, and move toward greater freedom and wellbeing.

Meet Ursula 👋

Ursula holds a Bachelor of Applied Social Science in Counselling and is a skilled and compassionate counsellor who is ACC approved. She shares a wealth of experience supporting children, youth, adults, couples, and families. With a background rooted in a family of small business owners, Ursula has a deep understanding of the complexities within relationships, both at home and in the workplace.

Ursula takes a warm, client-centred approach, working creatively and tailoring her methods to suit each individual’s unique needs.
