What a privilege it was to have Ryan from Open Doors with us on Sunday.

As we heard stories from the persecuted church around the world, we were reminded that even in the darkest places, the light of Jesus cannot be extinguished. Their courage, faith, and unwavering hope challenge us to ask what it really means to follow Christ wholeheartedly.

The persecuted church has so much to teach us. They remind us that faith isn't built on comfort but on trust, that the Gospel is worth everything, and that Jesus is always faithful. May we continue to pray for our brothers and sisters around the world and be inspired to live boldly for Christ wherever He has placed us.

We believe REVIVE CAMP has the potential to change your life.
Revive Camp is for youth in year 7-13 during the middle weekend of the October School holidays - 2-4 October at Narrows Park in Hamilton.

More than just a weekend away, REVIVE CAMP is an opportunity to encounter Jesus in a real and personal way. We believe God is calling this generation to know Him and make Him known—to live with bold faith, discover the incredible purpose He has for their lives, and experience the hope and transformation that only He can bring.

This year we're excited to welcome Michael Jenkins from Catalyst Movement as our camp speaker. Michael has a huge heart for seeing young people know Jesus and confidently share their faith. Through Catalyst Movement, he's been involved in Jesus Clubs, The Send, and evangelism training and outreaches across New Zealand.
Across the weekend, expect powerful worship, inspiring sessions, unforgettable moments with friends, bonfires, great food, loads of fun, and plenty of time to connect. REVIVE CAMP is a place where faith comes alive, friendships grow deeper, and life-changing moments happen.

The earlybird price for camp is $200 this year and Registrations open THIS Sunday at 3.30pm at theriver.org.nz/revive26 — and the first five people to register will score VIP status for camp!

We'll also be sending out links to apply for sponsorship on Monday - we want everyone to come to camp! If you'd like so sponsor a young person to go to Revive Camp then please email [email protected] to find out how!

Each year, we take 10 days to set aside our normal rhythms and distractions, and wholeheartedly seek God. We’re looking forward this year to doing it again – starting Friday 7th August and finishing up on Sunday 16th August. A powerful shift takes place in our lives when we choose to intentionally invest into our relationship with God! There’s so many different ways that we can fast – from food fasts, to entertainment and hobby fasts and more. The important thing is that for 10 days we’re putting something else to one side, and fixing our eyes and focus on Jesus.

When you sign up for the fast, you’ll receive emails with encouragement and tips for fasting. You’ll also be able to join us in prayer on Zoom morning and night over the 10 days. We’ll finish with a celebration together on Saturday night 16th August in both Pakuranga and Pukekohe, where we can share the testimonies and stories of what took place for us over this time!
