Well done to our Combined Sunday School students and teachers who sat the New Zealand Sunday School Union Inc. exams.

It’s been a fantastic journey filled with lots of study, learning, laughter, fun biblical games, and plenty of food😊

This year’s NZSSU theme was: “Jesus Came to Seek and Save the Lost.”

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who faithfully dropped off and collected the children for coaching classes (and for providing snacks!)

A special shout out to our dedicated teachers and helpers who worked hard to bring the Bible to life to make learning engaging and meaningful.

Congratulations eveyone. We are incredibly proud of you!

On Sunday 3rd May, we held a special service for the commissioning of our Lay Preachers. We welcomed special guests the Northern Presbytery Moderator, Rev Dr Colin Marshall, Rev Dr Marie Ropeti-Apisaloma, Rev Apisaloma Apisaloma, Rev Iona Su’a, Owairaka PIC, the Executive Officer of Pacific Presbytery, Rev Steve Tema, as well as visitors from across our Presbyterian Church family. It was a beautiful service enjoyed by all.

A total of 33 people were commissioned as Lay Preachers a mixture of this year’s new graduates and Lay Preachers who have already been serving for many years. They were prayed for, blessed, and presented with their Northern Presbytery certificates by the Moderator. We also shared together in the Lord’s Supper through Holy Communion and following the service, everyone enjoyed morning tea and fellowship together as one family.

Congratulations to all other Lay Preachers who were commissioned across other churches as well. Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported this special occasion.
