Holy Trinity Christian Greek Orthodox Church of Auckland

Holy Trinity Christian Greek Orthodox Church of Auckland Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, Auckland. Καλώς Ορίσατε, Nau mai, haere mai! Greetings and Blessings!

Welcome to Holy Trinity Christian Greek Orthodox Church of Auckland. Holy Trinity serves a large and diverse group of Orthodox Christians. Based in Western Springs Auckland it also serves Orthodox Christians in the wider area from Raglan to Rotorua, Thames to Tauranga and everywhere in between. The Church was established by the true Faith, hard work and generosity of Orthodox Migrants to New Zeala

nd from Greece and Cyprus, who, when they arrived in Aotearoa New Zealand identified the Faith as what defined them and what was Critical in maintaining a connection to the Motherland. Holy Trinity Parishioners now come from a diverse whakapapa of course Greeks and Cypriots, but now also Maori, Kiwi, Samoan, Ethiopians, Romanians, Egyptians, Phillipino, Indonesians, Lebanese, Ukrainian, Russian, Chinese and many other ethnic backgrounds, all woven together and unified around the Orthodox Christian Faith. "Orthodoxy is what Christ taught, the Apostles preached, and the Fathers kept" St Athanasius the Great. Divine Liturgy is served by Father Amphilochios Vasiltsotelis in Greek and English, keeping us connected to the Roots of our Faith, whilst making the Faith approachable and allowing the Church to blossom here in Aotearoa New Zealand. We often receive new enquirers into the Orthodox Faith "Catechumens" and offer Saturday evening Catechism meetings after the Vespers. We also work in the Apostolic Mission field in the Pacific specifically in Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. Here over the last 15 years the Holy Metropolis of New Zealand has established St Tabitha's Orphanage, The Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos, many Churches and Parishes. We look forward to, God willing, seeing you soon at Holy Trinity in Auckland or you can drop us a line through the messenger here on the page. May Christ our God through the intercessions of his Most Pure Mother the Theotokos and of all the Saints bless you and keep you Always.

Christ is Risen.

Dear faithful,

Please be advised that the Saturday Vespers Services and Catechism Sessions at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will be on hold until Father Amphilichios safely returns from his holiday in Greece on 30 June 2026.

We pray that God grants Father Amphilichios a peaceful, restful, and blessed journey, and that he returns safely to us refreshed in health and spirit.

The regular Saturday services and catechism gatherings will resume upon his return, God willing.

Thank you for your understanding and prayers.

Truly is Risen
In Christ,
