Ministering is more than something we do. It is how the Saviour loves, serves, and lifts others, and invites us to do the same.

Read Sister Kristin M. Yee's message, "Ministering—'That Ye Love One Another; as I Have Loved You,'" from April 2026 General Conference, and discover how simple acts of Christlike love can bless both giver and receiver.

Who has ministered to you when you needed it most?

Not every mission story goes the way you expect. Plans change. Things get hard. Sometimes it feels like everything is being interrupted or taken away. But choosing to keep going, even when it’s not how you pictured it, can become part of your testimony. And in ways you don’t always see right away, God is still working through your willingness to stay.

In a world where many people are searching for connection and belonging, Sister Yee reminds us of a powerful truth: when we help others feel the Saviour's love, we often discover that love more deeply ourselves.

Watch this excerpt, then read Sister Yee's full message, "Ministering—'That Ye Love One Another; as I Have Loved You,'" from April 2026 general conference.

Who could use a simple act of kindness, encouragement, or friendship from you this week?

On Tuesday, 19 May 2026, Elder Stevenson attended a devotional in Noumea, New Caledonia with members and friends of the Church. Elder Stevenson testified of God’s love for each of His children. Some of the attendees shared their thoughts about the experience.

There are many reasons missionaries choose to serve, but the reason they stay becomes deeply personal and deeply shared.

“To invite others to come unto Christ.” That purpose shapes the way missionaries live, serve, teach, and love the people around them each day.

Through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end, missionaries help others come closer to the Saviour, while coming closer to Him themselves.

If you feel the desire to serve God and His children, choose to serve a mission and discover your reason to stay.

During a recent ministry tour, Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles gathered with youth and parents in American Samoa. Various attendees share about their experience listening to an Apostle of the Lord.

Getting ready for a mission is more about willingness than having it all together.
You won’t have everything figured out, and there will be challenges, but that’s part of the experience.

As you prepare, focus on doing your best and staying close to the Lord. If you feel that pull to serve, don’t wait for everything to feel perfect. You can choose to go.

Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles recently ministered in four nations and territories in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Pacific Area — Australia, New Caledonia, Samoa and American Samoa.

The countries he visited differ in language — speaking English, French and Samoan — as well as culture and in the development of the Church. Australia and Samoa, for example, have roots to the early days of the Restoration. New Caledonia, meanwhile, received its first stake in 2012. Despite the differences, Elder Stevenson delivered a universal message testifying of God’s love for each of His children.

“That message is a message that is the same when it is taught in New Caledonia, or when it’s taught in New Zealand, or when it’s taught in Germany or Argentina,” he said.

In Samoan, we don’t ask if you’ve prayed today.

We sing it like this. 🎶🇼🇸

Happy Samoan Language Week!

Every choice we make shapes who we are becoming. For many missionaries, serving begins with a simple prayer and a willingness to ask the Lord what He would have them do.

And over time, that choice stretches them, strengthens them, and brings them closer to Jesus Christ. If you’ve been wondering whether you should serve a mission, pray about it honestly, and be willing to act on the answer you receive.
