When Jesus wanted to teach people about God’s kingdom, He didn’t just host ‘lectures’—He hosted dinners. He pulled up chairs for everyone, turning simple meals into places of real connection, forgiveness, and family.
At Shore Vineyard, we lean heavily into that Vineyard DNA of relaxed, relational, ‘come-as-you-are’ community. We believe some of the most sacred moments in church happen when the plates are full and the laughter is loud, so we share meals together as often as we can as well as making space for connection each and every week.
Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus for years or are just curious, there’s always a place for you at our table. Come join the whānau this Sunday and stick around to enjoy home baked morning tea!

Vineyard Church - what does that mean?

1. A Christian church belonging to the international Vineyard movement, characterised by a commitment to following Jesus and living out the values of the Kingdom of God.

2. A church that seeks to combine biblical teaching with an openness to the present work and presence of the Holy Spirit, particularly through worship, prayer, healing and spiritual gifts.

3. A community that emphasises authentic relationships, accessible worship, practical compassion and the belief that “everybody gets to play” — encouraging every person to participate in the life and mission of the church.

These are just some of the characteristics of a vineyard church - All vineyard churches take on their own shapes and sizes - our hope and prayer would be you would feel welcomed and at home when you step through the doors of shore vineyard church.

Join us this Sunday as we look at the moment Peter courageously steps out of the boat to walk on water towards Jesus, we will unpack how we can have the faith to do the same.

As always you’ll find us behind dominoes to the right of the shops.

10am start with coffee served beforehand. All ages welcome with kids programmes running for the younger ones. See you there

We want to remove the mystery of what to expect when you walk through the doors of a church.
Our church is a bit hidden behind domino’s (could be worse 🤤) but once you walk through the doors of SVC we hope you would feel welcomed and at home, we hope you find somewhere to explore faith and spirituality and explore questions of life.
Come as you are, no need to wear anything special or even know anything about Church, we would love to see you there.

What an incredible Sunday last week was.

We watched a whole group of people step into the water this weekend and declare their faith publicly in baptism. Joy and celebration all wrapped together.

And then, we did what SVC does so well — We shared incredible soups made by so many hands across the congregation, laughed a lot, as well as a fiercely competitive table football tournament to top it all off.

Faith declared, community felt, joy shared.

Join us this Sunday at 10AM as we celebrate the public declaration of faith of those who have given their life to Jesus and be Baptised.
We will then stick around to share food together, it’s going to be one not to miss!
