Sunday's Service at Shiloh Fellowship

Series Title: The Book of Acts - a study
Sermon title: Foreknowledge vs Predestination (Study 10)

Speaker: Abri Brancken
Date: 17 May 2026 | Service Time: 10:00

About the message:
Has God already decided who gets saved? Or, does He simply know in advance who will say yes? It is one of the oldest questions in the Christian faith and one of the most misunderstood. Whether you grew up in church or you are just starting to ask the big questions, Sunday's message is for you. No theological degree required. No prior knowledge needed. Just bring your curiosity and an open Bible. Sunday's sermon will be a thought-provoking message that steps outside the church walls, the theology classroom and into the realm of dimensions, quantum physics, and the nature of time itself to ask whether this debate about foreknowledge vs predestination was ever meant to be solved from inside a three-dimensional mind. Don't miss our service!

Sunday's Service at Shiloh Fellowship

Series Title: The Book of Acts - a study
Sermon title: David saw the future - but how did he do it?

Speaker: Abri Brancken
Date: 10 May 2026 | Service Time: 10:00

About the message:
After the Holy Spirit was poured out in Acts 2, Peter explained to the people what was happening. Peter references King David and quotes extensively from the Psalms. But why did Peter reference David? David is the author of many of the psalms and is often regarded as a shepherd-king and a warrior-poet. In the Psalms, we see the way David sought after and glorified God. Scripture calls him “the sweet psalmist of Israel”. This coming Sunday, we will explore David’s life, which will help us to understand why Peter references David in Acts 2. It promises to be a very interesting service, so feel free to join us.

Sermon Title: STUDY 8 - SPEAKING IN TONGUES (Acts 2:4)

Place: Fairway Event Centre
Date: Sunday, 3 May 2026

About the message:
The debate about speaking in tongues remains one of the most generative and unresolved conversations in many churches today. This coming Sunday, we will focus on Acts 2:4, "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance". What were those tongues in Acts 2:4? Are there different types of tongues? Is it for today? What language is tongues? Sunday’s message will address these and other questions about speaking in tongues. See you at the service.

Sermon title: Acts Study 3 - "The promise Holy Spirit and the Table of Nations: (Acts 1:1-11)
Speaker: Abri Brancken
Date: 15 Feb 2026 | Service Time: 10:00

About:
The opening chapter of Acts describes the events surrounding Jesus’ departure, marking the beginning of a new phase in God’s plan of salvation. In Acts, we see that the work of Jesus Christ is both finished and unfinished. His monumental work of redemption is complete (John 17:4), but his ministry and proclamation continue through his followers. The remainder of the New Testament narrates the continuation of this work. The promise of the Holy Spirit is mentioned repeatedly during Jesus' earthly ministry, but why did Jesus command the disciples to remain in Jerusalem to receive the Holy Spirit? Why not another place? There are several reasons, but one significant reason is...
