Our Friday Night Market is on tonight and every fortnight following; 5-9pm; right here in the carpark of Te Mīhana Māori (2 Burleigh St, Grafton). There’ll be plenty of delicious kai! The heaters will be on within Tātai Hono Marae, creating a warm and cosy indoor space to sit, eat, and catch up with friends and whānau - so invite them along! Following this one, the next market will be on Fri 26 June.

Throwback to our tamariki celebrating Pentecost Sunday a few weeks ago - how gorgeous did they look in their flame-inspired hats, marking the coming of the Holy Spirit!

A blessing over all our young people, and those who love, teach, and care for them. 🙏🔥

What a special and memorable Sunday we had as we gathered to bless our newly installed Para Matchitt windows at the rear of the church.

We were honoured to have our Pīhopa, Bishop Te Kitohi Pikaahu, with us as he blessed these taonga. We were equally honoured to have whānau of Para Matchitt, associates of the 28th Māori Battalion, and many other distinguished guests and dignitaries who joined us. Your presence added deep meaning to the occasion.

These windows, which honour the Māori Battalion and incorporate the powerful lyrics of 'Te Hoko Whitu Toa', now stand as a lasting tribute within our sacred space.

We are deeply grateful for this beautiful new installation - may it continue to inspire, remember, and speak to all who gather here.

As we celebrate NZ Music Month, we’re loving this recent piece by content creator Dujon Cullingford exploring the incredible musical legacy of The Pink Family 🎶🔥

We’re especially blessed to have Rev’d Shona Pink-Martin at Te Mīhana Māori - a foundation member of the group, and part of a whānau whose sound helped shape Aotearoa’s music scene in the 1970s disco era. With their funky sound, soulful harmonies, and distinctly Christ-centred tracks, The Pink Family became trailblazers of their time, contributing significantly to NZ music ❤️.

If you haven’t already, check out one of their most popular track:🎧 The Pink Family - Don’t Give Your Life Away (1979) 🔥

What a taonga to still have this legacy alive within our whānau today.
