Today's sermon focused on The Call of God and the importance of recognizing and responding to God's purpose for our lives. We were reminded that God chooses people according to His grace and purpose, not according to worldly standards. Just as Jesus faithfully fulfilled the work the Father had given Him, we are also called to serve God faithfully and bring glory to Him through our lives.
A key message was that God has chosen us to do His work, and He will equip us for the calling He has placed upon us. We were encouraged to remain faithful, holy, diligent, and steadfast in our walk with God, trusting that He will complete the work He has started in us.
The sermon also drew connections to the following Scriptures:
1 Peter 1:15–16 – A call to holiness as God's people.
2 Timothy 1:9 – God has saved and called us according to His purpose and grace.
Hebrews 6:10–11 – God remembers our work and faithfulness in serving Him.
Galatians 6:9 – Encouragement not to grow weary in doing good.
Colossians 3:23 – Serving wholeheartedly as though working for the Lord.
Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Philippians 1:6 – Confidence that God will complete the good work He began in us.
Romans 8:38–39 – Nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Hebrews 11:1 – The importance of faith in the life of a believer.
Hebrews 11:6 – Without faith it is impossible to please God.
The overall encouragement was to embrace God's call with faith, obedience, and perseverance, knowing that God is faithful to strengthen, guide, and sustain those whom He has called.
