TIME AND CHANGE
(Ecclesiastes 9:10 NKJV)
We cannot stop time. We cannot stop change. But through wisdom, discipline, and God-directed planning, we can determine how we respond to them and what they produce in our lives.
I. MANAGE YOUR TIME: BE FAITHFUL WITH THE GIFT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU
Time is a gift from God.
(Psalm 90:12)
Your life has an appointed limit.
(Job 14:5)
Passing time creates accountability.
(Romans 14:12)
Don’t wait until the end to discover your assignment.
(2 Timothy 4:7)
Redeem your time.
(Ephesians 5:15-16)
Every season will eventually pass.
(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
II. MANAGE CHANGE: PLAN WITH GOD AND LET CHANGE SERVE YOUR PURPOSE
Change is inevitable.
(Hebrews 13:8)
Change can destroy you or develop you.
(Romans 8:28, Genesis 50:20)
Change requires preparation.
(Proverbs 21:5, Proverbs 16:3)
If you don’t plan your life, something else will.
(Proverbs 29:18)
Planning creates target.
(Habakkuk 2:2)
Let time submit to purpose and change become your servant.
(Proverbs 16:9)
We plan. God directs.
Conclusion:
THE TWO POWERS OF LIFE
TIME: Manage it
CHANGE: Manage it
And your life is the product of how you respond to both.
So don’t live merely to get older. Live to become fruitful.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
- 2 Timothy 4:7
