This Sunday 30 August we're restarting an old Valley tradition - the St Bartholomew Feast Day.

At 10am there will be a combined Parish service at St Bartholomew, Komako - (1921 Pohangina East Rd), followed by a supplied BBQ Lunch, and tea.

St Mary Magdalene, Ashhurst will have an 8am service only. There will be some rides available from St Marys at 9am.

Wet weather venue for the lunch will be at the Forlongs on Opawe rd.

Bartholomew, also known as Nathanael, was one of Jesus' 12 Apostles, a missionary to multiple continents, and was martyred for his faith in Christ.
