Worship this Sunday is led by the South Island Superintendent for the Methodist Church of New Zealand Te Hāhi Weteriana o Aotearoa Rev Dale Peach.
Worship begins at 10am at St Enoch's Alexandra, with Communion and morning tea to follow.
This Sunday marks the beginning of the Season of Creation.
Ezekiel 47:1-12, which portrays God’s life-giving water flowing from the temple of God. The river grows deeper and deeper restoring barren land, reviving waters, and sustaining flourishing ecosystems.

Sometimes caring for creation can feel impossibly large. We hear about climate change, energy security, waste, biodiversity loss and changing weather patterns, and it is easy to wonder what difference one household, one church, or one small community can make. Yet Christian faith has always understo...

This Sunday is a fifth Sunday, so instead of gathering at St Enoch’s we’ll be joining our neighbours across the park at St Aidans Alexandra, 42 Shannon Street at 10am.

Our theme will be “Holy Ground: noticing where God is already at work”, drawing especially on the story of Moses and the burning bush in Exodus 3.

Sometimes holy ground is not somewhere extraordinary, but the ordinary places where we suddenly become aware that God is already present and active — in our community, in acts of kindness and justice, in places of need, and in the lives of those around us.

Come and share in worship with our Anglican neighbours as we celebrate the life and faith we hold together.

In Exodus, Pharaoh turns fear into suspicion, oppression and cruelty. But two ordinary women refuse to let a ruler’s fear decide what is right. We'll look at the story of the finding of Moses in the river.

What happens when fear is used to divide us — and what does faith ask of us instead?

This Sunday at St Enoch’s, Alexandra, we gather around a simple but powerful promise:

“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” Isaiah 56:7

In a world that can so easily divide people into “us” and “them”, come and share in worship, prayer, music and community as we explore what it means to be a people who make God’s welcome visible.

Sunday, 10am — St Enoch’s, Alexandra. Morning Tea to follow.
All are welcome in this place.
