Antioch Baptist Fellowship Church That Church is a great example because:

1. It was a church that had sound doctrine. It was a generous and thus mature church.

We are at an early stage of the plant but have given the church the name “Antioch Baptist Fellowship,” this name was chosen because of our desire to follow the example of the original Church of Antioch founded in Acts 11. It was a groundbreaking church for it was one of if not the first of the gentile churches; at Antioch ( Acts 11:21) they were first called Christians as they broke away from a pr

imarily Jewish led church (Acts 11:26)

2. Paul and Barnabas taught the church for a whole year (Acts 11:25-26).

3. It sent relief to the Saints in Jerusalem by the hands of Barnabas and Paul ( Acts 11:30)

4. It had sound leaders and plurality for its leadership was not limited to Barnabas and Paul (Acts 13:1)

5. It was a praying and fasting Church (Acts 13:2)

6. It was a pioneering and sending church, willing to obediently send out not just missionaries but it’s best teachers in Paul and Barnabas (Acts 13:3)

7. It was a faithful church being at the centre of the debate around justification by faith alone (Acts 15).
