In Buddhism the three poisons are the mental state created by ignorance , greed or attachment, and anger or hatred. Among these three ignorance is deeper as it gives rise to greed and anger. These three poisons are symbolized as :

Pig - ignorance
Rooster - attachment/greed
Snake - anger/hatred

बौद्ध धर्ममा तीन विष (Three Poisons) भन्नाले मनलाई दुःख, अशान्ति र मोहमा बाँधेर राख्ने तीन मुख्य मानसिक दोषहरूलाई जनाइन्छ। यी नै संसारिक दुःखका मूल कारण मानिन्छन्।

Greed is the endless craving for pleasure, possessions, status, people, or experiences.
It makes the mind constantly say:

“I want more.”

Anger burns the mind and destroys peace, wisdom, and compassion.

Ignorance about the true nature of life —that is not seeing reality clearly such as impermanence, karma, and the absence of a permanent self.

May all the beings have happiness and the cause of happiness. [ loving - kindness ]

May all the beings never be separate from supreme happiness and its causes. [Sympathetic Joy]
May all beings abide in equanimity free from attachments and hatred. [ equanimity ]
