On the morning of Thursday, March 19, 2026, the new academic year began at the Drigung Kagyu Rinchen Palri Monastery with a joyful and heartfelt ceremony. Venerable Khenpos, Lopons, and students gathered in unity, engaging in traditional practices—taking refuge, generating bodhicitta, the seven-limb prayer, and offering prayers for the flourishing of the Buddha’s teachings. The ceremony concluded with auspicious dedications for the benefit of all beings and the continued light of wisdom and compassion in the world.

དེ་བཞིན་ལས་བྱེད་ཁག་གསར་རྙིང་འཕོ་ལེན་སྐབས། ལས་བྱེད་རྙིང་པ་རྣམས་ལ་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ལེགས་འབུལ་དང་། གསར་དུ་བསྐོ་བཞག་གནང་བའི་ལས་བྱེད་རྣམས་ལ་འཚམས་འདྲི་དང་འབྲེལ་རྟེན་འབྲེལ་མཇལ་དར་ཕུལ། མཐའ་དོན་དུ་༧སྐྱབས་རྗེ་མཁན་སྤྲུལ་དཀོན་མཆོག་བསྟན་འཛིན་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་མཆོག་ནས་འདུས་དམངས་ཡོངས་ལ་བཀའ་སློབ་ལམ་སྟོན་བཀའ་དྲིན་སྩལ་གནང་མཛད་པའོ།།

Under the leadership of Khentrul Konchok Tenzin Rinpoche, and with the guidance of the Venerable Khenpos and Lopons, the Drigung Kagyu Rinchen Palri Monastic Institute held its annual examination results announcement on March 6, 2026, including students from both the Primary and Secondary Schools.

Merit awards were presented to outstanding students in recognition of their academic excellence and exemplary conduct.

A staff transition ceremony was also held, during which outgoing staff members were honored for their dedicated service, and new members were warmly welcomed with the traditional offering of khatags.

The event concluded with inspiring guidance and blessings from Khentrul Konchok Tenzin Rinpoche, encouraging the students and staff to continue their studies and responsibilities with diligence, discipline, and dedication to the Dharma.

On February 27, 2026, at the Great Drigung Kagyu Lotus Stupa in Lumbini, His Eminence Khentrul Konchok Tenzin Rinpoche compassionately bestowed the sacred Kunrig (Vairochana) Empowerment—an exalted practice for the purification of the lower realms and the liberation of beings.

On February 28, Rinpoche further bestowed his blessings by granting the oral transmission (lung) of the Kunrig practice, ensuring the unbroken continuity of this profound lineage.
