THE DEATH OF MOSES
Moses died at 120 years old, and God Himself buried him (Deuteronomy 34:5โ€“6).
God Himself buried Moses. No human being conducted his burial.
He was buried in the land of Moab, in a valley opposite Beth Peor. The exact grave location remains unknown to this day (Deuteronomy 34:6).
This is powerful because Mosesโ€™ burial was private and divine, possibly to prevent people from turning his grave into an object of worship.

Isaac Carrying Wood and Jesus Carrying Wood

Isaac carried the wood, Jesus carried the wood.
Isaac was supposed to be sacrificed in the woods; Jesus sacrificed himself in the woods.
Isaac carried the very wood that would be used for his own sacrifice. Jesus carried the wood that was used for his own sacrifice.
Isaac obeyed his father Abraham; Jesus obeyed his heavenly father.
No resistance recorded from either. No escape is described.
Just a son carrying woodโ€ฆ beside his fatherโ€ฆ up a mountain of surrender.
Then Isaac ask a question:

And Abraham answers with prophetic information:

This makes the narrative heavy.
Because centuries later, Jesus the Son of God would climb another hill carrying the wood of His own sacrifice on His shoulders.
A cross.
Like Isaac, Jesus ascended the hill in obedience.
Like Isaac, He walked in submission to the Fatherโ€™s will.
But unlike Isaac, Jesus was not spared,
because He was the Lamb God promised.

๐‡๐ž ๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฌ๐š๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž.
And suddenly, Isaacโ€™s question finds its answer.
โ€œWhere is the lamb?โ€
The answer was not a ram in a thicket.
It was Christ on the cross.
From the beginning, Scripture was telling one story:
A Father who would not spare what He loved most.
A Son who would carry the wood willingly.
And a Lamb who would take away the sin of the world.
โ€œ๐†๐จ๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ž ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‡๐ข๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฅ๐š๐ฆ๐›.โ€ (Genesis 22:8)
And He did.
