Shri Gautam Buddha Vihara monastery is Drukpa kargyud sect school under vajrayana buddhism.The founder of this drukpa karguyd lineage is Tsangpa Gyare yeshe dorje(1161-1211).This monastery plays a host to number of various rare buddhist texts and it is archived inside Gampopa library of the monastery.
