🪷Today, on 3rd March 2026, on the holy occasion of Chotrul Düchen, the Day of Buddha’s Miracles, we, the Sangha of Kopan Nunnery, observed this sacred day by performing the Sixteen Arhats Puja, reciting the two root texts — Prajñāpāramitā and Madhyamakāvatāra and names of Manjushree. May the merit accumulated through these prayers bring peace, compassion, and enlightenment to all sentient beings.📿🙏

From January 30 to February 9th 2026, Our nuns successfully conducted its ten-day annual grand examinations of Buddhist Philosophy , Tibetan, English, Nepali, Science & Mathematics. Here presented a short video clip from the final day’s Buddhist philosophy debate examination by a nun from youngest class.

The Sangha members of Kopan Nunnery are chanting Guru Puja, Prajñāpāramitā, and the king of aspiration prayer for swift rebirth of Rinpoche for the benefit of all sentient beings. 📿🙏🪷

On 5–6 November 2025, at the sacred site of Bodhgaya, during the historic 9th Geshema Examination, certificates were conferred in accordance with the long-established tradition upon newly graduated Geshemas. On this auspicious occasion, forty-seven nuns from various nunneries successfully received their Geshema degrees. Among them, nine nuns from Kopan Nunnery, Nepal, having completed the comprehensive study of the five major Buddhist texts, were awarded their Geshema certificates.

Subsequently, on 16 January 2026, a ceremony was held at Kopan Nunnery to mark the completion of the major textual studies. In accordance with traditional customs, the occasion was observed with the offering of the Namgyal Tsechok prayer and the long-life prayer of His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. These prayers were offered to express deep gratitude to the root and lineage masters; Dharma friends who share the same commitments; the nunnery’s devoted administrators and staff who have worked tirelessly day and night with great kindness; the generous sponsors and benefactors who have continuously supported the nunnery; as well as parents, siblings, and relatives.

Thus, the Geshema conferment ceremony was completed successfully and auspiciously

सन् २०२४ को नोभेम्बर ५ र ६ तारिखमा, पवित्र स्थल बोधगयामा, ऐतिहासिक नवौं गेशेमा परीक्षाको अवसरमा र नयाँ स्नातक गेशेमाहरूलाई प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान गर्ने परम्परा भए अनुसार, यस वर्ष विभिन्न आनी गोन्पाहरूबाट ४७ जना आनीहरूले सफलतापूर्वक गेशेमा उपाधि प्राप्त गर्नु भएको थियो । उहांहरूमध्ये, नेपालको खाच्यो गाखिललिङ आनी गोन्पा कपनबाट ९ जना आनीहरूले “पांच महाशास्त्र” बौद्ध ग्रन्थहरूको गहन अध्ययन पूरा गरी आफ्नो गेशेमा प्रमाणपत्र प्राप्त गर्नु भएको थियो।
त्यसपछि, सन् २०२६ को जनवरी १६ तारिखमा, कपन आनी गोन्पामा गेशेमा अध्ययन पूरा गरी उपाधि प्राप्त गरेको उपलक्ष्यमा विशेष समारोह आयोजना गरिएको थियो। परम्परागत रीति अनुसार, यो समारोह विशेषगरी मूल र परम्परागत गुरुहरू, धर्म मित्रहरू, रात दिन नभनी अथक परिश्रमका साथ सेवा गर्नु हुने गोन्पाका प्रवन्धक र स्वयंसेवीकाहरू, आनी गोन्पालाई अनवरत साथ सहयोग गर्ने दाताहरू, शुभचिन्तक र श्रद्धालु भक्तजनहरूका साथै आमाबुबा, दाजुभाइ र आफन्तहरूप्रति कृतज्ञता प्रकट गर्न नाम्ग्याल छेछोक पुजा “Amritayu Puja ” लगायतका विभिन्न प्रार्थनाहरूका साथ समारोह सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भयो।
